@stephenturner7573 жыл бұрын
You've brought up an interesting question. For everyone reading this, who is YOUR television family? I really like the Golden Girls, but I've never thought of them as a television family. I'm 45, so I'd have to say that The Cosby Show or Family Ties was my TV family. I miss those days of campfire television. Everyone gathered around the only tv set in the house and shared some wholesome entertainment together as a family. It's a shame that kids born in the twenty-first century will never experience that really. Everyone has their own device and can watch full seasons at any time.
@cneterer2 жыл бұрын
@@stephenturner757 well, sounds like this might not fit your definition per the Golden Girls, but the 4077th on M*A*S*H was probably my TV family. I was 10 years old when the show ended, but while I saw it I absorbed compassion from Radar, sarcasm from Hawkeye, common sense and dignity from Col. Potter, devotion to your family from BJ, and an appreciation for a strong woman from Margaret.
@cneterer2 жыл бұрын
My heart goes out to any orphan of any age. Wouldn't it be marvelous to spend time after hours with them all inside a pub? Nagging on each other all the time during working hours, but notice how on lunch break they all sit together and commiserate about their jobs. And stand together when Mr. Rumbold comes up with some daft idea.

Hilarious group of actors. I used to watch this late 80's early '90's in Chicago. Love British humor!😂

Pc people are killing humour off !!! They are the most killjoy of comedy, for they have forgotten how to laugh.

Aside from the occasional bit that is now viewed as racist which really comes off as harmless in no way hateful there's nothing for anyone to make a fuss about. Nor do they, Are You Being Served is incredibly loved. SERVERS are as devoted as TREKKIES are. Never heard anyone make a complaint about it,except that their just aren't enough episodes.

@@rmt1989ify Exactly there was no malice in any of the content, with everyone involved being in on the joke, rather than being made fun of.

This sidkom is the most funny and well-done I have ever seen. The actors are so talented. I watched on all of the parts many years ago, and i did not miss one part. They are fantastic, and I thank them for giving me a lot of funny moments. 🎉 😂❤❤❤❤

" Boy, can I relate. 10:30 - Ladies, if a strange man touches you inappropriately, by all means, make a fuss!

Gordon Peter's the husband portayed quite a few different characters in dad's army notably the lighthouse keeper in the episode put that light out. He also was the soldier that dropped off a few badly needed rifles in captain Mainwaring's office in the episode command decision.

@@anarchistatheist1917 It's a fun game to play: 'Spot the actor in Dad's Army who was also in Are You Being Served? (and other English comedies of the era)'.
