It's clearly meant to be that Han's blowing smoke up their asses - he knows he's in a part of the galaxy where someone looking to escape local trouble won't know the difference between a parsec and a parsnip. Han is, at this point in the film, a *liar* through and through. He lies to *everyone* - including himself, but knows deep down he has principles. The Empire started shooting. He could have handed them over, no problem, and might have even gotten a reward. Instead? For 2000 credits - a fifth of what he wanted - and merely the promise of more from an old man and a smart mouthed kid, he blasts his way away from Tatooine.

I think the difference here is that Marok from Ashoka is just a henchman, and this guy is being presented as the mastermind in a show that is trying to be “mystery-focused.” It could be someone totally new, but the trope in mysteries is the bad guy being someone we knew all along, and I don’t think these writers know how to write outside of tropes.

I know that this show is not your cup of tea... yet you've risen above many of the top SW KZbinrs with these breakdowns that have room for discussion of the story. Many of the channels that I used to follow, I no longer do because they no longer discuss anything... they just rage-bait for clicks. It's very sad too because I used to like their content at one time. Ok, just a possibility:...the "master" which is clearly Qimir is going to be Darth Plagueis. When he is first introduced, he is woken from an alcohol induced sleep (exactly how Darth Sidious kills him) and will be shown to have known about the witches creating life which they are going to say is how he learned to do it. Yes, he's not a Muun and Plagueis would be too young in canon or lore, but this episode shows they don't care about that.

Darth Plagueis? And most people concluded "no" because approx. 100 years before episode 1 was too far back. But everyone would have concluded the same thing if you asked if Ki Adi Mundi would be in this show.

Master Cone-Head (sorry not going to attempt to spell it) and the other Jedi seeing a Sith then forgetting about it reminds me of Leia and Obiwan interacting in Kenobi despite the dialogue from ANH suggesting otherwise. They found a lame way to lampshade that and I think we're in for that sort of thing again here. This time I think they'll use the memory-wipe gimmick, a trope we've seen a few times already in Star Wars. This was potentially foreshadowed in Episode 2 when the Jedi caught Qimir. No doubt as part of his act, he begged them not to wipe his memory despite the fact that there was no reason to believe the Jedi would have any interest in doing so seeing as how they were interrogating him. I'm sure Qimir knew the Jedi wouldn't do this but perhaps he's aware that some dark side users have this ability. Whether it ends up being him or his potential master, my guess is that memories will get wiped to avoid breaking canon. Hey Thor, love your channel. As a huge High Republic fan who wanted this show to give the era a good live-action debut, I think it’s been real disappointing. One of the weaker aspects that I don’t see anyone discussing is the mischaracterization of Vernestra Rwoh. I understand most casual viewers don’t read the High Republic books, and it’s been 100 years, but Acolyte Vernestra is completely different from book Vernestra. Vernestra would never be this dogmatic and make dumb decisions like she has in the Acolyte, she was a great Jedi prodigy in the books. It’s so frustrating to watch.

I went with Plagueis since it does work as a standalone story. However, a good part of it is spent referencing events from Star Wars: Republic and multiple books set before Episode I.

PLOT TWIST: None of the Three of the Four Jedi are dead, it's a ploy to lure out the Sith. They knew this plot was happening and devised this plan to ACT like they died. They crush the Sith so thoroughly they don't even consider it a revival of the Sith, BOOM canon saved. Ki Adi Mundi will be told of this, he'll tap his fist into his palm and muse to himself "Ah, so the Sith really are still extinct." THE END!

Hey thor, Here is some of my thoughts. 1.The witch is the sith, and she is darth plagues, but he is a he in canon, and that is fixed with her being none binary or such therefor she also go with him.... This way they did not break canon with life creation, and where "clever" and diverse. 2. They have made it clear the jedi are the police, and their perspective is police are bad. So police says they protect and serve and don't use deadly force unless needed. But when you see the cops as bad, then you belive they will kill first and ask after. 3. How they belive that they did not break conon, with kiad mundi and his line "there have been no sith". Its easy in the end he is going to help covering it up. The reason bieng kiad mundi chooses to cover up to help him advance in the jedi ranks politics, and so when he is on the council later, he is just saying the line to make sure no-one gets suspicious and that is his downfall... and again it's "clever writing" as now there is new context to why the jedi fails... it's the hybris of the order. I hope none of this is true but I sadly don't think I am far off.

14:30 Science fact. Bugs are not attracted to light at night. They use the brightest light source to navigate (IE the moon). Brighter sources confuse their navigation. So while they fly around and around the non-lunar source, they think they are flying on a straight path. Bugs are not great fliers and so they are prone to bump into things, even the source itself.

I think the "big push" with which they attack the jedi at the end is the "power of many" in action. The explanation will be something like "the more they attack me, the stronger my counterattack", or something ridiculous like that. And that's why the difference between "the power of one and the power of two" didn't seem to exist...

This episode has done something I thought was impossible an Easter Egg made an episode significantly worse then it was before. This episode was bad but could have been fixed if they had a really good explanation (that is at least what I was telling myself) but once Ki-Adi-Mundi was revealed to have been in the episode it broke the Lore and I realized that the only way to fix the lore is if the rest of the show is set on this planet and everyone dies by the last episode which we know won't happen since they wanted to make a season 2.

I really do get the feeling that the green Jedi is in on this whole thing like you mentioned yesterday. She strikes me more as a freaking CIA agent or spy than a Jedi since she's all about doing things hush hush, making examples of people and worrying about politics or public perceptions. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this whole thing gets swept under the rug so that they can maintain a sense of peace or something else, and oh my gooooood the way they had Mae decide to "be good" I guess you could call it was so bad. Like she kills two Jedi and is on her way to kill another and then five minutes later she's betraying that guy, I know she must've been feeling conflicted ever since she saw Osha was alive but they don't really show that and the only other mention of it is that "just because Osha is alive it doesn't change anything" but it actually does and now I'm betraying everything after walking for a few hours. It's just amateur stuff.
