Glad you mentioned the bid ask spread. You should mention something on how to spot that when buying a stock. Also maybe talk about how you can choose a good limit price based on the buy ask graph/chart. Like not placing an order slightly lower than a price point with a large volume etc

I did this on NLY in Fidelity on Friday! I saved 6 cents during the last 2 minutes of the trading day when it had a mini sell off and got 25 shares. Made 4 cents of it back in the after hours!

I notice that on webull, the price will sometimes dip below my limit price. Sometimes for hours and my order won’t be filled. It seems like I can only rely on my order being filled if I go with the “ask” price.

For some reason my limit sells and buys never go through in Webull i’ve sat and watched as the price would go over my limit and continue as it just simply never goes through. Even in volatile assets and crypto. Any idea why this happens? it’s just frustrating that i can never sell or buy using a limit. Keep in mind i’ve had absolutely no issues on Robinhood

Friends...I recently learned that Webull is a "Communist" Chinese owned brokerage company operating out of New York and Dallas Tx. I'm concerned because many are unaware that it is "Chinese" owned and there are risks to accounts/funds if things go south between our countries. A lot of KZbinrs are getting paid by Webull to promote their LLC. FYI only...

Started a webull account and for some reason when I try to make a market order, it gives me an error( Given the current volatility in the market, market orders are temporarily unavailable for opening new option positions. You can use limit orders only). Does anyone know why it’s telling me this ?

Typically the taxes on non-dividend growth happens when you sell the stock (called "realized gain"). So as you hold the stock and it grows an falls, that is called an unrealized gain/loss and isn't taxed until you sell it.

I'm hoping that someone can explain to me how it is that you purchase something on webull at a specific price with the market order, but it will go through at a higher price. For example, making a purchase recently for what I thought was going to be 14.21, and it ended up going through at 14.41. I am not new to investing, but new to webull. Thank you

question from a newb, lets say the fed comes out and makes a speech and decides to raise interest rates and everyone now expects the prices on etfs to go down, so voo is at $420 and i want it at a discount if i put in a limit order to buy 10k worth at $400 and it dips to $380 do i get stuck buying at 400 when i could have had 380? Yes some people have mentioned that but I've not had any issues with them. Most of the time I hear from their CEO who is based in United States where they operate. Always worth keeping an eye on of course just to be ahead of any concerns (if there are any to be worried about)
