Are you overestimating its intelligence? They don't know what a 'recording' or 'video' is. They just see a black, reflective object nearby (the lens) and that's it.

I think Kookaburras are my favourite birds. Although our local Rosella's and Green Parrots are not far off my other favourites. The Parrot's colours are magnificent and I love the way they interact with each other. Kookaburras are just so likeable personality wise. My heart always flutters with delight when I see one.
