Since getting an euc, we downsized to just one car. Now that my wife can also ride, we spend our weekends riding trails together. On an euc, it's no hassle to stop frequently to take photos of interesting plants or wildlife. We've seen more than we ever did bushwalking. Plus one thing you can't do on any other form of microtransport is holding the wife's hand while riding. With intercoms, it becomes an activity we get to enjoy as a couple. Unlike cycling where one person is following the other. Luckily, EUCs are allowed where we live. I hope everyone gets a chance to experience the joy of EUCs. It really has changed our lives for the better.

I see more but I notice less. When I walk or cycle where I usually used ride euc then I see so much details that never occurred to me while riding the euc. The euc is faster but also takes a bit more concentration to ride, so you focus more on what's in front of you.

I've been thinking about this learning curve. I reckon its similar to riding a bike. It's just that we learn it so young we take it for granted

It definitely isn't easy. I would say it took me a solid 6 hours to comfortably ride on the footpath. Once you "get it" though, it really is effortless.
@wazza888 Жыл бұрын
Took me 3 weekends of 1 hour sessions to go from non-rider to comfortable rider. It took a lot of self courage and persistence but it was so worth it, riding the euc is just feels special, fun and free. You also get that special feeling knowing most ppl can’t do what you’re doing and when you across another rider there’s a special bond

I just turned 50 this year & have just bought my 1st EUC. I started in an underpass to get my balance & within a week I have been taking the dogs for a walk, going to the post office, small trips around the village & getting used to going up & down steps. I have got years of life experience of skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding & rollerblading behind me though which all definitely help. I haven't seen any other EUC riders yet but I'm looking out for them.

EUC's are the best PEV ever! It's so fun, nimble, can navigate big crowds without being annoying, its feel so futuristic, takes up no space, super portable. I love it so much.

If you have the money and you are thinking if getting a motor cycle or mopad, get an EUC! its hard to learn for the first week or two after that its much more fun and convenient and freeing. Unlike a motorcycle, you can ride in the rain and snow for some brands, its one wheel drive so technically all wheel drive. Truly changed my life !
@euc360 Жыл бұрын
I completely agree! It also changed my life! I sold my motorcycle, and after EUC, I’m 100% with you on that. Thanks for watching!

Well. Yes and no. That depends on individual needs. But i want to see you enjoy that trip you did now in heavy rain, windy weather etc. I'm using 3 options (car, bike, EUC) - each got pros and cons. But they aren't completely interchangeable in most scenarios.

I got one of these hyper e-scooters to give rides to my wife with about the same ease as my EUC, it really re-confirmed how much better it feels to ride a wheel not just because of the tire size but the feeling of floating and just being one with the road and superior convenience... There is nothing like it.

You should add cost and time for parking the car every time you make a stop on your route. That adds up real fast.
@euc360 Жыл бұрын
That’s true. I did include a symbolic extra 5 min for parking first, but then decided to compare the trips only later. But it’s true, have I had included those, the EUC definitely makes even more sense! Thanks for watching!

As much as I love my V12, you can't just say: "Yeah let's just ignore that negligible initial investment of 2000€" 😅
@euc360 Жыл бұрын
I know, it’s a lot! I meant, cars, bicycles, scooters, do cost same or more. But hey, looking past those €2000, the future looks pretty FUN and packed with savings! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏼
@updlate4756 Жыл бұрын
You could technically buy a cheaper EUC or a used one. :-p Initial investment is less important. Depreciation matters more. Total cost of ownership is a factor of cost of depreciation, fuel, maintenance, and extraneous cost like registration, insurance, and parking. EUC's big issues are that some places may not let you bring it in and they're hard to lock up if you're not prepared, weatherproofing, and minimal cargo carrying capacity. Only so much you can carry in a backpack and in your hands. They can also be a real pain to carry up / down stairs. Lately it's also been apartments / condos banning PEVs.
@bobdebouwer7835 Жыл бұрын
I love euc. But for being cheap it only makes sense in some scenarios. Like people who can avoid public transport thanks to their euc. Or parking fees. Or who can completely sell their car. In most cases a normal bicycle is the cheapest option. If well maintained it can last decades. It doesn't need batteries. It's average speed is in many cases not far from euc average speed. It's also very healthy. Maintenance is also cheaper thanks to mass production. Euc needs more gear and in the few minutes that you put it on you could be already on the way with a bike. Euc's depreciate fast. Total mileage is not so high. Many people max out at 15000 km per wheel. A battery replacement ruins the cost per mile. The tires are expensive compared to bicycle tires.
@euc360 Жыл бұрын
I agree with you on all the positives and negatives of bicycles and EUCs. But I still find that the fun and feeling of freedom an EUC provides make all the cons worthwhile. But you’re right, bicycles are awesome!

I've made rough calculation of going to the work by EUC or public transport. EUC is actually more expensive if you consider the price of buying EUC, service and how long you can use it. From my point, the advantage of EUC is freedom to go anywhere any time during commuting, portability of device.

I'm not sure the math always works out like that, also if you calculate how much your time is worth.

@updlate4756 Жыл бұрын
Only takes 2-3 minutes to put on equipment. About a minute at stops if all he has to do is put on his helmet and gloves. 😛 Doesn't sound like the car time included parking. Having to find a spot, walk from the lot to the store and back, settle into the car and then get out of the lot can take several minutes at each stop. EUCs and bikes (assuming bike racks at every stop and a simple u-lock) will be way faster.

Wow, you live in a beautiful city! I have some questions: Do you put sealant in your tube for puncture resistance? I have put slime in mine, and at around 18mph, I have been getting speed wobbles. I am still determining if it is me since I am new to EUCs and growing that muscle memory, or the sealant that is causing it, I also have an Inmotion V12HT version, not HS.

It's because your new. I was where you are about a month ago. You have to learn to control them.

Brisbane truly is stunning. 2032 Olympic City! I’ve never added anything to the tire/rim. Coincidentally I got a flat today, not from puncture though, but probably another torn tube valve. Will find out this week. But in saying that, if you’re new to it, it will take some getting used to; this wheel is top heavy. Also if your tire is too hard/pumped up to recommended psi, you’ll find it harder to balance. Thanks for watching!

If you’re new to it, this one in the video (InMotion V12HT) is imo the best bang for your buck. It’s good for a beginner at the same time that you will never grow out of it. You may go looking for other features and specs on other EUCs later, but this one will always give you a tonne of fun!
