The into bodybuildingpart was really on point. The intention behind why we do things matter. I lived the lifestyle for 8 years, but then I got sick, lost 50 pounds and haven’t been able to workout in 2,5 years. If all I cared about was attention and muscles then I would have just said fuck it, but everyday I fight to one day be able to get back in the gym again. I literally have dreams about being in the gym. I love working out, pushing myself, the pain and the feeling we get from progress and seeing results knowing well how hard we’ve worked for it. It’s a feeling that can never be bought. Thankyou for another amazing podcast Fouad! Literally makes my day everytime.

I have to agree with Ben on the Bike vs car. I had a GSXR 1000 for a number of years and it was fuckin mind blowing every time I got on it. Toped it out 1 time at 188mph and my heart rate was at 180 for about a week after. I could tap the gas at 70mph in 2nd gear and stand it straight up. Flying around corners with my knee on the ground... there is nothing like it!

the cheat food argument is true for athletes of other sports too, it’s impossible to eat foods they aren’t as calorie dense to meet needs of activity , i used to finish sport athletics workouts &/ do a bodybuilding leg day of my own after and my meal was a large coldstone milkshake and a caniac combo or a 5 guys double bacon burger with fries and it would be the only way to recover otherwise i couldn’t eat enough to support the activity i couldn’t change

when you're into something, you need to do it for soo long to see and the good and bad from it to see if you can handle it and you really can live the life , whatever the thing is, and when you do it for so long you can't just let it go in a easy way or like for small reasons and you say you thought you was into it, you know, like if you bodybuild for 20 years and you get injury you don't say f that and retire , but if you did it for like 1 year and that happen you go like meh f that i thought it was easier or more fun or faster results , that's the point of view of these guys, i think .

@fouad I agree with Ben on the super bike feel. Let me tell you, if you pull full throttle for example 1st gear on a 1000cc bike you can do 100 mph in around 5.5 seconds. The speed and how fast you get to triple digits is literally insane, you’re fighting to stay on the bike. And if the bike is tuned it’s a different story

Some people (mainly fouad) failed biology of bacteria and cooking! Cooling is for preservation, for significant time (days). If the food is cooked, it is sterile, and can easily survive at any temperature for 24-48hrs without any treatment. Cool bags are only for existing cold food. Also you shld let cooked food cool to room temperature before chilling further.

The more you go against your nature in anything the greater the stress response, and the Lesser results. Does that sound familiar Hoss. That trainer said that the other day reminded me of what Ben Chow said about prep. I actually wrote that down after over 30 years of training it really resonated with me. Another thing I always hate when people call themselves a bodybuilder and they don't know anything about the history of the sport. Just my two cents.

Gotta say, Ben is right on the bike v car. I've "allegedly" outran 5 state troopers on at 150mph on my old Kal 1100. The sh*t I experienced on that ride was pure crazy and unbelievable adrenaline rush...not to mention fear, lol. (also led to me realizing I am fearless on 2 wheels and it was time to sell it). My Ferrari at 150mph is fast but not exhilarating as the bike. Next time you're in FL (Ft Myers)...come see for yourself. ;)
