Hi Michael, could you do a video on cue ball deflection when playing with side spin, and how the speed you play the shot changes whether you need to adjust your aim thicker/thinner on the object ball 👍🏻

I'd love to hear more about how you keep going when you're tired/long matches. How you keep doing all the things you need to do, lining shots up properly, playing position properly, etc. Really interesting to me!

Great video as usual! I was practicing long pots last week after watching a tutorial on another channel, and this was the first thing I thought! It felt weird just hitting reds and not thinking about playing for a colour, distracting almost. Love the videos Michael 👍

You could do with an affiliate link for things like the spotted white, so we know we're buying the right thing, also you'll get a little commission from each sale. You just add the link in the video description 👍 I've tried buying training aid balls and it's massive 😂😂

If you want a spotted cue ball compatible with most league snooker balls, look for Aramith Pro Cup Red Spotted Cue Ball. Make sure it is the right size for snooker, 2+1/16th inch (52.4mm), because there are two other sizes used for pool.

Can’t wait for Barton to tell us you shouldn’t worry about playing for position until you’ve mastered straight cueing 😂☑️

Ha! Love it. 🤣🤣 Bless him. He ironically is in the circle of death. I just want to give him a big hug. He needs to book himself in…not sure he will though. 😃

Snooker is an enigma rolled in a mystery to me. I'll never understand how 1 minute I'm potting everything, then suddenly I start to miss everything. Do a video on how to stop that happening please :)

It’s not rocket science, it’s hitting a ball with a stick. Too much nonsense out there preached by “coaches” in person and online. Book yourself in…

Thanks, great stuff! Can you do a video on shot selection/minimising risk and mistakes? I know there’s often more than one way to get the same position, but how do we choose the right shot? Would love to see that.

i watch alot of cue sports english pool,chinese pool,american pool russian pyramid, even a bit of snooker.one thing i have noticed is when a pots missed commentators normally say oh he took his eye off that one or he didnt cue that very well.but you dont seem to hear didnt judge the angle or did nt line pot up correctly?

Great video as usual. Good luck for the Championship League on 24th, I will be watching from Holiday in Croatia. Do you practice much on safety or left handed?
@MichaelHoltSnookerCoaching3 ай бұрын
Thank you. I’m really excited for what’s coming. 😃 I practice safety but not left handed. I am useless left handed and I don’t mind the rest. Enjoy Croatia, really beautiful place. 🍹

Dear Michael Hope all’s good! Thank you so much for this excellent video and all your other excellent videos. I have an unrelated question, I hope you don’t mind. I’m convinced that many people suffer from this from time to time (I hope it’s not just me!) Anyway the question is How do I stop myself from becoming Mr. Angry 😡🤬when practicing! 😀 I know that it must be completely counterproductive to allow Mr. Angry to rear his ugly head but I’m ashamed to admit that I allow him to exist from time to time. I even accidentally broke my cue the other week and am now borrowing my dad’s cue until I buy a new one. There’s no way I can break my dad’s cue! Hahaha please help if you can. Much love and respect Angus

Hey michael , im struggling with my grip . Can you give me some tips to find my perfect grip

When you play long pots, are you aiming for an exact point on the object ball or judging how the white covers the object ball at impact I.e ghost ball? From missing thousands of these always to the same side, I now aim to miss if I want to make the pot 😂

Mr. Michael, I do have a question!? Is the snooker player genuinely talented, or is their success primarily the result of rigorous practice and dedication? And if your answer is practice, then why have I been playing for almost 20 years without a single century break? 😢
@ash64152 ай бұрын
Because you have no talent. Unfortunately.

Stop knocking Barton his channel is very good but as with all online coaching won't always work getting one to one proper coaching is the way to go if possible, but there are plenty of positive tips to be used from most channels. I personally find the worst channel the one with Nic Barrow's he will do anything to make a few £'s but saying that his ultimate training ball is worth a try and there are still some positive things to be had from his channel but personally he isn't for me.
@MichaelHoltSnookerCoaching3 ай бұрын
Haha! I think 3/4 days is the average. 🤣😂 Bless him. It’s good that he’s learning. 😉

Barton is one of the most genuine people in the industry.
@MichaelHoltSnookerCoachingАй бұрын
I fully believe he’s genuine. I don’t think he’s trying to rip people off. He’s probably a nice fella. The reality is his knowledge is very limited. To be fair to him it can’t be anything else. He’s a decent club player at best, he can’t know any more than his level permits. He has absolutely no experience at playing to anywhere near a high level.
