When she said she wasn’t competing with the mother, the dog, the daughter!! A lot of women feel that way! When does a man want to spend more time with the woman he’s to marry than the family/friends/life he has been so attached to for so many years? It’s like they don’t trust us to leave. They should not feel guilty about spending more time with their future or made to feel they got to spend as equal the amount of time with them to appease everybody. I don’t understand it

When Stephan said that sometimes we interfere with God’s work of a lesson in someone’s life by extending a hand when they NEED to hit their rock bottom- in order to hear God. That’s amazing bcuz I’ve always said this, yet, Ive continued to help my mother despite how ungrateful she can be. From the time I was 19 to present day, I’m 37 - I’ve always tried to be her salvation. Like whenever she comes up with something that she needs to make her happy “if I just had this (insert a car, insert a business plan and investor, insert new furniture, insert a new home), I can be happy,,, and like clockwork- I have gotten it for her, and she is bored of it or does wrong by it and we’re back to square one. A couple weeks ago was the first time I decided to cut off all financial, emotional and every other form of me thinking I’m extending a “salvation” to her…. And it feels good but it’s also an adjustment

Thank you for this! Sorry a late response just now seeing this video. My mom says the same thing. I try and think the same way as you. They have so much built up trauma and if they are not truly wanting to heal and close doors and go to God and therapy they will be forever sad. Thank you for showing me "we" cannot help them
@BeautifulInsideout-lw2pn9 ай бұрын
I disagree. Find balance so that you are not in a financially vulnerable position, but NEVER cut off your dear mother who carried you for 9 months, financially or emotionally. As our parents age, they get more difficult to handle and that is what we should adjust to. You are probably receiving blessings from the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the ultimate Provider who is Ash-shakuur (the most grateful). 🌹

Ditch the list; a man isn’t a representative of his bank account, credit score, income, educational background, height, weight, complexion. 1st you want a god-fearing, praying man, hardworking, is/who/wants to be a great father, faithful, loyal, honest, who’s accountable to God. As a Christian woman, please go to therapy, especially if you’re easily angered, argumentative, rude, takes a long time to forgive, ect. If you’re trying to find a “partner” or a man equal to you, that’s not biblical. You have to submit, meaning getting/helping him to fulfill his dreams/vision/plan. You’re a “helpmate.” many of you women have friend-zoned or rejected your husband because he’s not making 100k, over 6ft, extremely handsome, college degree ect.. those things aren’t biblical requirements for a man. You trust/surrender completely for who God wants you to be with. I’m turning 38, God blessed me with the man of his choice.. he proposed in 16 months, getting married in the fall. And ladies he’s handsome, over 6ft, makes over 100k, God doesn’t disappoint! God is a loving father, he’s not going to put you with garbage.

Such a great podcast! Lots of laughs. Christian Keys was showing out! Lol! Also, lots of wisdom. One thing in particular, Stephan kept bringing things back to consulting with God. Sometimes, just because we are saved, we Really think we know what we are doing, and we make decisions based on our own experiences, reasoning , and sometimes pain , and don’t consult God. We have to seek God’s direction every step of the way concerning potential relationships.

I’m still on a spiritual high from Saturday!!!! I’ve been an avid supporter of the Dear Future Wifey movement ever since Laterras made his first video 2 years ago, and to be in a space where my journey of being a virgin celebrated by a room full of God’s people was just everything I needed !!! Willie Moore Jr. spoke some prophetic words in my life that spoke to the inner most parts of me and I thank God for using him !!! This meant so much to me and I needed this extra boost to keep going. Afterwards people came up to me and hugged me, prayed for me, cried from an overwhelming joy for me, and a few people even asked for my autograph in advance. I believe that God had me in that room in order to show me a glimpse of where He is taking me. A BIG GOD = BIG OPPORTUNITIES 🙏🏽❤️✝️

Happily married and marriage IS NOT suppose to be this hard. It's not roses and cookies all day but it's definitely not this. So much self-centeredness and so many rules from folks who haven't had successful relationships themselves. Furthermore, I was not whole when I married, you never will be because if you're married long enough whatever the "whole" either of you thinks they are changes. Growing and learning together is all apart of the process and can be a beautiful (and yes, sometimes bumpy) road. It's the journey of life IN love that helps make us feel whole because we are BOTH constantly pouring into EACH OTHER - so sad that so many are missing out on this😢 For any others that are in happy, HEALTHY marriages - be grateful and continue to honor your partner and yourselves because despite what social media says, IT IS WORTH IT☮️
