I am an actor at my local theater in Pennsylvania. Before i even knew that the theater was a place i dreamed of being an actor then at 12 i started doing the theater now im 14 and i have landed roles like young scrooge in christmas carol and mr bucket in willy wonku. Ive also had lots of people say im a good actor

i always wanted to go into acting, but i was scared and still am of not being able to make it, so i went for health and psychology instead. as much as i love it, i could never see it as a career. but when i think back to when i did acting, how my family and friends would tell me about my acting and how proud they are, and how happy i was on stage, i wanna go back and make it as a career as much as possible, i just need to break out of self doubt, and i want to start and go all in as soon as i can.

there are many books on how to launch an acting career, I bought them as a librarian, today websites are all over with info on this field, you must start as young as possible, get training and experience and be able to handle rejection, it is hard work

I took classes in Houston, 20yrs. ago, did a few workshops, I was told by an LA casting director "you will be difficult to cast" never figured out what she meant, she is now deceased -- now 67, it's too late

It's never too late. They need roles for all ages. Also if you're retired you may be able to put more time to acting and classes.

I started out as an R&B singer and always doubted my talent, which was praised my whole life over being a dramatic person. Even with things I wasn't being honest about, I could always make it swing in my direction. I don't know if that's a good or bad sign, but I'm always able to give a dramatic performance if I need to. That's what made me think I might have a chance in acting. Being on stage where people love you and having people love what you do is amazing, and I've always wanted that. Being an R&B singer, just for the short few years I was one, made me feel so good, but I don't have enough money to pack it up and head to LA. I'm hoping to go back to Boston soon, take up some acting classes, and then hopefully find something in New York. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would love to be there and experience that culture but I don't know which part of Europe you're in Warhol life is there people romanticize Europe but there's places in Europe that are probably terrible just like in America people are jealous people that live in America but there's some terrible places here overall it's an amazing country I hope you get to travel and experience different places good luck on your journey

I havent be to any acting classes. Im doing research to see if it's something i really want to pursue. I work a full time job 7:30am-about 3-4pm and usually 6 days a week. Ive found some classes that are in the evenings. Im 30 and know that age doesnt really matter but i think about it and how it will play in being an actor. Im shy so that doesnt help and scared because i have family and need my job. Im also bald and just now getting into shape.

Hii hannah! I did get accepted into asfa for theatre arts but idk if i should go or stay at my current school. If i stay i’ll have more free time but i will have less connections and would have to get opportunities on my own. If i go to alabama school of fine arts i’ll have less free time, the work would be harder, but i’ll have connections and a roadmap in theatre and acting. What do you reccomend?? @@Hannahschannel strictly film, tv. They do offer classes in film regarding its history, 101, superhero, and horror, and much more. But it is “theatre arts” at the end of the day.

I was curious, I have trouble understanding common things other just seem to know. I seem to know what other never think of and is irrelevant. I don't believe I'm special but I feel something when I hear good story tellers and notice I subconsciously apply it to my life. This all probably makes little or no sense. It might be the fact that life is limited to time period but acting isn't? I was seeking more of the psychology behind knowing but this was still helpful....
