I got an AC300 and 4 B300 and solar panels primarily for grid down times (storms) and be prepared. But I now use it 24/7 with a transfer switch powering the home office with window ac and kitchen to save money with time of use from the power company. So I am making some of the money spent on the AC300 back each day. On sunny days I have gotten 2.2kw of solar input for a few hours. Also have a propane generator for grid down times to charge the Bluetti back up for the night (so a loud generator is not running). So far I am having fun and feels kind of cool that I am powering part of our home with solar sun power! Thanks for your videos. 👍

Evening all....i see many people are starting to wake up a bit and starting to look at alternatives to conventional power sources. I am in the middle of converting my whole country home over to solar in case of a no power situation. I have found out the best for me in my city place, a solar generator and a bi fuel generator to charge it along with the solar panels along with extra batteries storage. ✔️

Another great video. I always look forward to your new videos ever since you turned me on to the poor mans Berkey. Thank you. My main concerns in a long term grid down situation are firstly to get water out of my well for drinking and cooking and secondly to maintain the feed on my stoker coal stove. The coal stove only uses 19Wh and a rotation of my three battery generators will keep that going. As for the well, I have a whole house generator that I could run for 5 minutes a week just to pump enough water into my water jugs to last a week or more. At that rate the propane for the whole house generator should last well over a year and possibly two years. I have 100 gallon rain barrels that I could use to collect water from my gutter to flush toilets as needed. If needed I also have a small Honda inverter generator and over 100 gallons pf fuel for it.

Solid plan, I like it. It’s meeting your needs based on your concerns, that’s what it’s all about! Thanks for supporting the channel! I know there are manual well buckets that are made to pull from the private wells too as a backup of a backup some may find useful.

I just ordered the AC300+B300+(2) PV 420. This is my first jump to the solar community so I hope I didn't by a lemon because I don't know sh*t about these things or electricity. One thing I do know is I'm not going 6 days without any power with a bitchy wife again. If I like it I would consider buying at least 1 more B300 battery. I did a lot of searching on KZbin and started learning things and it "seemed" to me people were very happy with this model. Crossing my fingers!

I got the duel set of these via Prime Day deal. Will get more batteries when I can down the road. Why dual? Ton of redundancy built in and 240V option and modular. Will do me fine for what I need off grid. It was this or Ecoflow and that day this was the best deal. They have a new B300S self heating battery as well now that is self heated. I am going to put mine into a root cellar however so do not need heat. The shear amount of solar these can take in is crazy high.

Those batteries are slick. For me it’s between Bluetti and Ecoflow as my top favs. Good idea for the Self Heating for the root cellar.

I have an AC300 with two B300 batteries. I want to add two more batteries, and to expand that to a split system within the next year or two. My objective is to run the electrical systems of our house on that setup. I also have an AC200 with two expansion batteries. I want to use that to supply power to the smaller Mother-in-Law house on the same property occupied by my daughter and our grandson. We live in Bastrop, TX, about 30 miles east of the People's Republic of Austin, so we get a lot of sunlight during the months of Spring and Summer ... and often during Autumn. I have Bluetti solar panels to match the AC300, but should I plan to substitute an array of other solar panels to power the system?

I have not but I will be installing a transfer switch to do just this. It’s ok it’s way as we speak in the mail. Hooks up to the main fuse box and allows connection of your power station to the transfer switch

Last winter we lost grid power for 8 hours. I had 2 B300 and realized we were using power faster than I thought, and had to fire up the generator towards the end. The point is have a family "planned grid down" test. Turn the main breaker off for 8 hours and see what you need need. Like a can opener, books or games to pass the time, etc.

@@briant2259 ✔✔👍👍...I absolutely agree....No sense in finding out the hard way, scampering around trying to put something together during an actual emergency instead of running a couple of drills and tweaking the kinks.
