I have 3 small get home bags in the truck. 2 small tool bags. Strap n 3 pair gloves. Variations of hitches and safety gear for towing or roadside emergency. 3 or 4 tourniquets and a bleed kit. Used my jumper cables a dozen times but only once for myself. I go through the stuff all the time adding useful things.

I used to own an old truck that would sometimes run like crap so I'd take it out and put the pedal to the boards and blow out all the carbon. Ran great for a long while afterwards everytime!

Stoker’s point about listening possible events and rating them based upon severity vs probability is normally done on an FMEA (failure mode effect and analysis). It’s a simple graph. You can rate each side 1-10 and start putting dots on the graph. I use this fairly regularly, but normally for work related tasking.

Learn how to drive in the Snow. Reduce Tire pressure to 15 psi (steel wheels) & 20 psi (aluminum wheels). Drive slow, slow, so you never need to use Brakes. It may take you a lot longer to get there. But you will arrive. The key is SLOW for Snow!

Shelli is from Indianapolis, and I currently live here. The grid is smart actually here, it does help people who aren’t directionally/navigationally inclined. This city was also built by Freemasons and Shriners. I wonder if they knew something ahead of schedule. Notice how Indianapolis was in the path of totality for the 2024 eclipse, not far from the “X” of the 2017 eclipse path and 2024 eclipse path. Good conversation I'm also a new retiree from the Army, but I agree with a lot especially the food we have chickens, grow as much as we can and can it, and we get most of our meat from a local farm. In my opinion it's getting to where you can trust some store bought meat because alot of times it's from other places and they put it in packaging saying it's from the US.
