Hey guys! Today, in honor of Easter and Spring in general, I covered a Jim Henson project recommended by Shelby McKinney who is our resident Jim Henson expert here in our community and we so appreciate her!
It's called The Tale of the Bunny Picnic and it's every bit as adorable as it sounds. If you're a fan of Muppets, or bunnies, or happiness you'll appreciate this.

I am glad you liked it. Apparently during its original prodcast on HBO it had a opening by Jim Henson himself. He basically explained that the story came to be. He says that he and his daughter Cheryl we siting in the park one afternoon and saw a bunch of bunny emerge out of a hole and gathering together as if it were a convention. Then a dog showed up on the scene and started barking at the bunnies they in turn hopped away in flash. Afterwards he and his daughter thought it would be fun to make a story based on what had just happened at that moment.

@@AveryTalksAboutStuff I know the people of Henson would constatly make him a victim of slapstick injuries because they thought he was insufferably cute(which is weird when you consider that Kermits nephew Robin is also adorable). Though I personally wouldn't mind seeing him make a comeback.

I love that movie! I can never celebrate Easter without watching it. I grew up watching "The Tale of the Bunny Picnic" since I was two years old. I still have my VHS tape! I have a request for another Jim Henson's holiday special. Have you seen "The Christmas Toy"? If not, can you make a reaction video for it? It's such a cute movie as well!

This movie is my all-time favorite Jim Henson special out of all the Muppet movies ❤! It's too bad it doesn't seem to be that well known outside of old fuddy duddies like me lol. Glad you got to enjoy it 🤗!

Have you ever seen The Muppet version of The Bremen town musicians? I remember watching it as a preteen ( despite some other people in my class saying it was too juvenile for my age group) and I truly enjoyed it. I’d love to see you do a video about it.❤

I used to hate being short too but I'm actually glad to be in the under five club. I'm sure it's more stigmatized for men but that's weird because short people are cool. I want to replicate the dragon bunny one of these days!

@@AveryTalksAboutStuff That character was performed by Jim Henson himself. He really was just willing to get down and dirty with his fellow puppeteers even with the fame and interviews. His memorial was amazing. Full disclosure do not watch involving his fellow puppeteers singing "Just One Person" at memorial unless you are in the right mindset. It will make cry.

this was part of "the Story Teller" / "The Jim Henson Hour" the last thing Jim was alive for favs from this era The Soldier and Death Episode 110: Secrets of the Muppets "The Cosby Show" Cliff's Nightmare and also Bean was worked in to the Muppet Babies cartoon series in its late seasons he was also in The Muppets at Walt Disney World The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson The Muppet Christmas Carol Kokomo Muppet Treasure Island Muppets Tonight Muppets from Space It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie The Muppets' Wizard of Oz and the bunny puppet was used a lot in things before this just with out cloths or names wonder if Fox and Hedgehog was a reference to Sonic?
