@@justmonika1229 It may depend on whether the person has near sightedness (where closer objects are clear, but objects further away are blurry/not clearly visible) or far sightedness (where further objects are clearer, but closer objects are blurry/not clearly visible). Glasses change the state of an impaired vision by refracting light into the retina 'correctly'. If the person loses their glasses, their vision will be impaired, or they cannot see objects clearly in either of the two most common classifications mentioned previous. However if you take a picture on your phone and view it (which is a refraction of light into a glass lens to create an image in cameras, which is the same as refracting light into the lens to the retina to create an image in our own eyes), the photo will be clearly visible/have no blurriness, as the phones lens are 'correct' or 'normal', unlike the 'incorrect' or 'abnormal' lens of the near or far sighted person. By looking through the 'normal' lens on the camera in a video or live feed, the person will be able to view the space around them clearly in real time since the image refraction will look as if they were wearing their glasses. Sorry for the word vomit, that just about sums the science of it up in layman terms!

*Spoilers* Even though I saw the ending coming after file 04, that was so freaky! So, my take was that they were being hunted by some sort of skin walker. The way Sydney's humming became a distant whistled tune, the way she was found dead and then in the next video was up walking around-- I don't think the others knew she was there in that clip but at the same time, if they thought she was dead why would they continue the camping trip? But oh boy do I hate stories where the thing turns out to be next to you the whole time 😱

Tbh I found the “and it was right behind you!” too predictable to be scary, but that’s just me. It was scary before, but it’s unfortunately been done so much it’s not as scary to me. What would have been scarier is if we saw what had happened to the hikers after Tape 9 and then… that was it. There was nothing to do, it had already happened and nothing could be done to help or stop whatever did it. You just have to live with the horror that this happened, will keep happening, and what can you do about it? Nothing.

The file format reminded me of a game I really enjoyed called Her Story. It’s not horror so much as just a murder mystery, but you’re put in the shoes of a detective just sort of going over interrogation footage and putting the pieces together about what happened and the woman/women being interrogated. P fun and not a super long form game either, could be cool for you guys to try out.

small spoiler alert ahead ronnie did an amazing job on this one! i read a lot of horror stories and creepypasta so i was expecting to know how this would go down. instead i was pleasantly surprised! using a fairy circle instead of the overused blair witch figures was a good twist. i particularly liked the whistling being a calling card, because while im used to the whole "the last victim is the narrator" trope; having such a distinct signal, that is unique to the danger present in the story, not just the found footage, really adds to the story for me. it is a more connective thread than just the camera, and makes the whole concept that much stronger. seriously, very well written, i enjoyed this more than other stories i've read!

This story gives me vibes of what I thought would be Blair Witch from all the cam recorder files. But the entity or monster, the whistling wind, reminds me more of Evil Dead. Since it seemed that Heather's friends were possessed by the wind, I thought this was related to the entity awakened by the Necronomicon Ex Mortis turning Heather's friends into Deadites. But nevertheless, that is my interpretation. Love the "Are You Scared" vids!! Keep 'em coming!!

My very superstitious Chinese grandparents told me to never ever whistle when it's dark, or I'll attract spirits. It's been probably 15 years since they told me that and I still slap my best friend if he whistles at night.

I know that in Japanese culture, whistling brings spirits over to the human world. It's why during Obon festivals (basically Japanese Day of the Dead), they play flutes that sound like whistles to help the family members come visit the living!
