MdDS for over 5 years. I am in a state of dizzy 24/7. I just can't anymore. No one should live like this. Yes, I still go to work. I endure.

What was it then that made you, or me angry in the first place, to be hidden by fear/anxiety? Anger for not getting our needs met?

So relevant to me atm and so true. Have been so angry at how restricted my life is but equally so fearful that if i did the activities i wanted to do the symptoms would get worse. A few days ago i just said 'fu*ck it' and did it anyway. I think just burning off that excess anger/fight energy helped to calm the NS and restricting your life through fear creates a lot of anger too. Appreciate the videos man always touch on some good points and delivered calmly

I woke up feeling so sick and tired of my symptoms! FED UP! I didn't really know just what I needed so I prayed for guidance " show me what I need". And your new video popped up first thing! Thank you so much. This is perfect timing. Sending you so many blessings ❤

How you doing? I'm no doctor but I've been studying these health things now a lot on my own and a burning mouth could be from estrogen loss if you in that phase of women's life and hrt could help with it, or sometimes achy mouth is related to low iron levels, so if this can help you - check those at the doctors, they have tests and you could get help asap. Best wishes!

Emotions are human. Feel it to heal it. Let them come up and out. Compassion burnout is real for care takers. Find an outlet esp group not to just talk but more to just be, laugh and have fun if even for 1 hr. Takes effort at first but worth it. Also write but not to journal - no rereading (to judge and dwell) rip up after and toss. Good luck.

I can't be the only person who just can't get to that strong foundation of belief that I'm fine. That is holding me back, I know. But unlike some people, I haven't had doctors tell me there's nothing wrong with my back, just that they have seen spines like mine (scoliosis, arthritis, disk degeneration, bulging disks) where people don't have pain. And Dr. Schubiner says all those things "could" be TMS, but I have had doctors say the pain "could" be coming from the facets, the disks or nerves, and brought on my scoliosis, posture etc. One of my docs said she believes all pain is bio-psycho-social and it's good to work the TMS angle, but as Jim says in this video, you need the foundation of believing there's nothing wrong with you for this to work, and I don't have that foundation. Am I doomed to have this not work?

I zm so done! 2 years of this and the symptom imperative just keeps pushing more fear bait that sucks me in to believing something is serious only to find out its just more TMS,especially in my chest the spasms, muscle pain and popping and anxiety it brings on is a nightmare. I just keep saying its just TMS move on and calml myself but its hanging on. All this started after i got covid and my mom died i cant even grieve properly because i think im dying.

Im all in for the taking action. We need resources (and many have been mentioned by Jim!) and I also think self-compassion for ourselves (not just the BS we are going through, but for the anger or any other trigger along the way) can play a useful role. There's been a fair amount of evidence for example that mindfulness based compassion can really help release and relieve negative feelings and overall anxiety. It may not stop the BS, its not a panacea, but it gives us some refuge and some recognition of what we need atm (or what parts of us need to recognize/hear from ourselves), and a place from which to better stand up for ourselves against the BS.

What about indifference? I've tried the I'm not going to take this anymore approach but feel that puts me into annoyance and frustration. I'm finding that after a long hard day at work, I have a stressful job, on the way home my leg will start to play up. I say to myself that's ok, this is not dangerous and I don't care. Stay if you want. Usually by the time I'm home its gone. I guess different strategies work for different people.

The distinction between constructive and destructive anger is not sufficiently clear or well articulated. The line separating the two is pretty fuzzy.

If anyone here suffers from anything chronic please look up medical medium books. These symptoms are not in your head they aren’t caused by stress it’s not just anxiety! There are real physical causes, stress is a trigger not cause. You can heal and you can heal naturally.

The symptoms are very real and not in our heads! But they are often created by the brain or nervous system. For me, stress, anxiety, perfectionism, suppressed emotions, etc are ABSOLUTELY the cause.
