As a guitarist I would say he is probably playing in an open tuning which him his key chord by just strumming unfretted strings. This facilitates smooth changes with one or two fingers. This of course just underlines the point of the lesson. Great stuff!

Please keep it coming as I pointed out in another video of yours! Your channel is really one of the top 3 for me...And it is on its way to being the best:)! As to further videos, here are a few I can think of: 1. Applying different rhythms in piano 2. Applying chord extensions - examples with 9th, 11th, 13th chords etc 3. How to play melodies by ear - starting with accompaniment, enriching it with chord extensions on top and finally the melody. Starting with a chord chart only and nothing else (no leadsheets).

Awesome video, awesome lesson, awesome that you draw inspiration from other awesome musicians! Definitely curious to what other musical ideas you're going to make videos on :) Edit: some things I would love to get a deeper understanding of is line clichés, and accompanying styles for your own solos or for other people soloing

He's using a pedal in the right hand. Wouldn't it be a good idea of using that idea with chromatic mediants?

Yes! Really like this lesson. Really motivating. I had a bit of trouble finding it again though, as the title is a bit opaque. I'd suggest something which I think you said near the beginning: "This Guitarist Transformed My Piano Playing". More like this please 🙂

Thanks! I agree - the title and thumbnail needs changing up. Will add to my to-do list!!

Beautiful. Just continue with your approach which is very useful and yes, more videos for rhytm and how to use it with chords in different genres of music are preferable for me

It sounds really similar to some Chrostian music keyboard part, if you play it slower then it would probably become it.

Great video! Can you please do a tutorial on exercises that would help add rhythm to the chords like you did in minite 5:52 of this video?

but, this isn't practicing scales at all... but more like practicing chords...don't you have to learn scales to be prepared for many of the classical pieces that utilize scales?...
