Are you using the wrong spray gun for your finishes?

HI Wes. I sure appreciate your very useful videos! But, I can't seem to have any success with a spray gun. Do you use it with latex and do you thin it in order to pass through the filters?

Hi Cliff...the tinted primers and lacquers that I use are designed specifically for spraying. I am not familiar with latex applications other than paint brush or roller. Commercial house painters I am sure spray latex but their equipment is more of a commercial grade. If you are using a latex paint product check with your paint supplier for suggestions of application. Thank you very much for watching my videos. Hope this helps.

Curious about what paint you use; it looks like tinted primer. I just finished making over 40 shaker doors and drawers, and I am ready to paint! P.S., your video helped me make them!

Hi...I am in a big shop with a large industrial compressor system. However, this spray gun works fine with a smaller portable air compressor. Thanks for watching.

My spray guns do not have a gage to indicate air pressure. I just adjust to get the desired spray that I am after...good ol' trial and error :)) Thanks for watching.

Hi Mark...the only adjustment I made was with the air pressure. I just experimented until I got the consistency of spray that I needed. Thank you.

Hi...I purchased the cheapest off brand gravity gun from Home Depot to give it a try. There is no pressure gage on the gun itself. As I mentioned in the video, I just played with the pressure adjustment until I received the desired spray that I wanted. I hope this answers your question...thanks for watching.
