Edit: so while writing this I was trying to write off the evil done in the show as tolerable so long as it doesn’t get into your heart but it still has to be addressed as wrong and they never really do that so it’s for the best to part with the manga collection and the JJBA anime I don’t know where to start as of right now I’ve just put the mangas I’ve collected in a box in a storage shed while I evaluate it I deleted the comments because I don’t want to cause any sin and God seemed to tell me the comment will by recommending the show or manga so yeah 😅 I’m really sorry but I’ve evaluated the show and it’s not good and bad and I’m cutting it out of my life along with the other evil promoting anime but not the good ones obviously those can stay not ALL anime is bad (hopefully most of it is secular so it’s got a LOT of gray area 😅) but I will evaluate everything from now on

@justachannelwith14subscribe110I'd personally think that it certainly isn't helpful, and it's probably very hurtful towards your mind. Sex is also often a fleshly desire, and many people fall into lust because of it. It sounds like you're dealing with an intrusive thought, and it may desensitize you. I would heavily advise against it. Galatians 6:7-8 [7]Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. [8]For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

I might be the biggest cinephile in my church. My greatest dream is to actively work in the cinema industry because I see movies as a reflection of life, storytelling is the way I express myself and films are my escapism. But I also understand that they can’t be the reason why I live. It’s just a dream of a possible work and career, but it won’t be my ticket to Heaven. It can be a medium to bring glory to God, but what Jesus values is my heart (like 1 Samuel 16 says). So thank you for this video, I needed to understand deeply what it means to be a Christian visual storyteller, I hope, if God says yes, to bring content that glorifies Him.

I think good movies with good messages and moral values are like gifts, which God let us to enjoy. But to the thing this video is emphasizing on, we need to be careful of what we watch and hear, so that it may not hinder our walk with the LORD but rather we may thank Him for being able to enjoy something good. Sometimes it’s easier than going out to spend time walking or doing something else. Remembering how I cried and sobbed and was overall miserable about enjoying media, or music that made me happy I felt so joyless. This has encouraged me to be more free and enjoy good and healthy things that could teach a lot. Most Christians would probably think I'm too picky, but I honestly think I've gotten too lax during my adult years. We shouldn't limit ourselves. This only brings fear to our fellow Christians. God made us in his image. Naturally we wanted to create as well. Movies are a part of that. A part of the power we have been given. It's your choice to let movies influence you. If a movie does influence you, then by all means do not watch it, but if we spend our entire lives fearing sin around every corner, we'll never truly be able to praise God and spread his word.

Like you read my mind! Had a conversation with my friend about this exact topic this same week ❤ been praying and thinking about this topic because everyone seems to hold different standards on it all week, and so for this video to be released at the same time is such a God thing. The part about recognizing personal weakness really hit home for me, and was what I've been trying to find the words to express when others ask why i choose not to listen to cursing in movies. I use a filtering system to bleep those unwanted words/scenes out, and have had a very hard time explaining that to people who don't. I've had bad experiences where people make fun of me for it, act like it's stupid or childish, or just generally make me feel bad about my personal choice, and when trying to explain why I will choose not to entertain myself with something my christian friend will, it boils down to the way i know my mind and sensitivity, and the way i know ill be negatively influenced if i let those things in. Thanks for helping me to explain that more efficiently. (Also we are a bluey loving household😂its so good!!)

I know it's just a movie at the end of the day but yea... those are my feelings towards those kinds of me.

This really opened my sees because sometimes I do struggle with sinful thoughts that come from media but I try my best not let them rule my mind and if I come by a thought that bothers me I try to either let it flow or think of something more wholesome and their are movies or sense that I try to avoid entirely, though their are nights were I relieve myself with sexulized things from media (not pornography but things like dc women’s outfits) but not every single night or if it’s a holiday night especially a Christian holiday night and I always apologize for it to God the next morning Btw I just like to say that personally I believe that it’s not same sex relationships that are sinful but rather same sex intercorse, but that’s just my belief
@king_riku5543 ай бұрын
2:44 You can't argue with God's word, you either believe it entirely or you don't despite how your flesh feels. Romans 1:24-27 is pretty clear on what it says and when he was talking about these specific scriptures in the video it was not taken on the context.

i think you should do a video on fictional magic / fictional supernatural powers, cuz this is a very debated topic. people will say that reading harry potter is actual wltchcraft. i dont think that becuz fictional magic is often portrayed as something completely different than what Christians would would think as magic. its a another force of nature that humans can harness for different purposes. like electricity, theres magic powered cars and technology. i also notice that the ones who attack it the most are one that used to be in new age and stuff, which would make sense for them not to engage based on what you have said about people having different triggers for sin. i think its interesting that the most influential fantasy property (lord of the rings) was made by a devout catholic who famously had strong opinions about applicability vs allegory.

Some things in the past used to be seen as wrong by the world. Now it's very acceptable, even among Christians. Movies made it okay to sin. Blasphemy in nearly every movie. Fornication (Sex outside of marriage) Swearing. People condescending find it strange that I ask them not to swear in my company. The message is encouraged "If it feels good, do it"

THANK YOU GOD!!!! The lord has been convicting me about entertainment in general since when I was a child (14 and younger I am now 15 and now a follower of Christ) so still kinda young but I’ve woken up and realized that there should be things that should and shouldn’t be indulged in and as of right now I’ve had the issues of my manga collection and my video game library and I’ve for a time allowed certain things to be there that shouldn’t clearly. But now through God there have been things that have been torn out of my life and praise God for it! Like now I’m questioning if it’s ok the have certain things in the content of the entertainment and if it’s ok for there to be like super powers and magic (I still am on the fence about it but for the most part I see super powers as ok and magic as… complicated tbh it really depends on the context about how it is and if it’s related to paganism or if it’s called magic and all kinds of confusing stuff) but God is lighting my path and I know I can trust in HIM!!!! AMEN!!!!

I am going to be super sincere to EVERYONE: On August 18th, 2024, before I attended my sophomore year of college, I watched Alien: Romulus. Yes, I am aware of its horror content, including idolatry, but it did not affect me throughout the end of the film. Look, after watching this video, my demeanor completely changed on how I am supposed to respond to detestable content. On YT videos, I make reaction videos but keep them PG. That means I remove profanity, alcohol, smoking, sexual content, and self-harm. Plus, I have NO right to judge anyone because Christ is our righteous judge. If anyone has offended me, I would forgive them, since Christ forgives me.

Hot take on movies as a Christian: If you’re going to watch movies, then you need to UNDERSTAND that they’re not real, unless they’re based on real life events; documentaries, etc. People need to separate fiction from real life. God did not put us on this earth to fearmonger at every step of the way, there’s a reason he put us here and that is to enjoy our ONE LIFE before entering Heaven. I also think it’s important to always remember to give thanks for the one life we have. But nobody is truly living if they’re not going to experience life for what it is (and I’m not talking about sinning, life can be enjoyed without it). I think it’s asinine to try and shield ourselves from what is considered “non-Christian”. I am a Christian and I enjoyed Deadpool & Wolverine, it was funny as all get out and I doubt it was used as a means to deliver evil messages. For Pete’s sake, it’s a comedy meant to offend everyone, specifically giving the middle finger to Disney. This is my humble opinion on the matter. I just don’t believe in my heart that we need to shun movies that don’t “glorify God”. I also think it’s direly important to look into banned books and movies and see why they’re banned. Knowledge and education is so important, but use common sense as a person and don’t act out on the “Godless” movies you watch. I watched Deadpool, but I’m not about to go and carry out his sins, okay? Good grief. I don’t believe it’s THAT serious, you guys. I also think Deadpool & Wolverine was a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the state of Disney. 🤷♀️

I completely agree with you I'm a Christian too, and I watch lots of movies and TV shows
@Opalescape2 ай бұрын
@@zacharyrivas8074 Glad you agree! I’ve had my share of a Christian friend tell me that she personally doesn’t watch or listen to ANYTHING unless it glorifies God. “Hear no evil, speak no evil” etc, and she had the gall to tell me that if I call myself Christian, then I need to do the same. We’re both different denominations; I’m Methodist and she is hardcore Baptist and told me I’m not really saved unless I’m Baptist. Sigh. Believing in God and accepting Jesus into my heart as my Lord and savior isn’t enough unless I follow the Baptist path, force religion onto EVERYONE I know, and have Passion of the Christ play on my TV 24/7. Anyway, I’m going off tangent here, but I just wanted to give context about what I’ve been through with a fellow Christian who thinks she knows what’s absolutely best for me. I don’t agree with it, I want to celebrate and worship God but I also don’t think He intended for us to wrap every moment of our lives on our knees before the Cross that we forget to live. He wants us to know Him and be more Christlike, but also to *live*, and to learn, and to experience the human condition. That’s just what I think.

I would politely disagree. There are plenty of people in Hollywood who openly oppose God and use the media to consciously and unconsciously teach the masses perverse messages. If the world is pushing it. It is likely to be evil. We must remember that The world is opposed to God and in his Word God calls us to Not be like the world. I would also like to leave this food for thought: as born again believers, the holy spirit, the spirit of God, lives in us. It is as if Jesus is walking with us throughout our day. Would we do the things we do knowing that Jesus was there with us, or would we make some changes to lives. Our purpose in life, as the bible tells us, is to please God. Love you guys!
