You are absolutely correct when it comes to the importance of wearing a proper-fitting bra. Only a professional in a "lingerie" store can measure accurately & make appropriate suggestions. Many years ago, I was professionally measured & surprised to learn that I was a 34D not a 36B in the Wacoal style that I wear. I have strapless, T-back/racer back bras from other manufacturers for gym tops, sexy see-through blouses, & barely-there tank tops. A proper fitting bra allows the wearer to walk, sit & stand with poise, self-assurance & good posture as well as make the outfit -- not just the top or the dress -- look great because of the "perfect fit." And, I completely agree with you about hand washing bras, underwear, & I include expensive designer T-shirts (various colors/fabrics), cotton blouses & other fine washables (knee-his, hosiery, socks), etc. in Woolite; I remove excess water with a towel, then hang them up. Woolite is still the only product for "fine washables." Unfortunately, my Wacoal bras never go on sale anywhere; consequently, I have to take good care of them so that they'll make me look well put together & effortlessly chic whenever I go out.

Thank you for this reminder of how important it is to have the proper size. I always try to save a penny and tend to buy cheap bras - they wear out fast and typically are uncomfortable at some point. By investing in better quality, they will probably last longer and actually support me!

Thanks Beth, great video! I get fitted yearly and it truly boosts my confidence and makes my outfits look and feel so much better! In the last year I lost just 10 pounds and went down 2 cup sizes...that was a shocker! I would also like to add even though I am now retired and spend most of my time at home, it is still very important to me to always look my best. Thanks again for all you do!

How timely! I just went to my favorite lingerie store (while on vacation) got refitted and bought 4 beautiful bras! $$$$. She said since mine have foam in the cups to hand wash and don’t hang them to dry by the straps or the back, lay them flat. Since I spent a fortune on them, that’s what I’m going to do. I’m 65 and a well fitted bra makes the breasts sit higher and I feel like I look younger.

Best fitting I had was at Nordstrom for my Son’s wedding. Try different brands and they are my go to when purchasing. Yes a big investment, once a year I buy new ones.

I have worn the same size bra after losing weight for the last couple of years. I was actually fitted for them. I watched your video and decided to measure myself again because I did have a gap in my cup. According to your chart, I went down a band size and up a cup size. I just bought 3 new bras in the NSale. I just ordered 2 more and I’ll wait until the 3rd style is restocked to exchange it for the right size. Thank you, for the reminder. 😊

Miss Mary’s of Sweden has the best bras! As a 67 year old , I am beyond frustrated with ALL of the bras available in American stores ; I honestly believe they have no idea how to construct a quality bra . I ordered 2 bras from Miss Mary and they fit perfectly ( better than any other brand) support , are well constructed and pretty! I measured 4 times according to the instructions on their website .

I lost 100 lbs and it was my husband who said, Hon you need a new bra ...you're sagging! LoL Went to a good bra store, and had my 1st ever good fitting. Highly recommend. I also learned you can wear a red bra under a white shirt and you can't tell.

The cup size doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t that measurement be whatever bra you have on? So I know I wearing the wrong size but that measurement will always give me the same cup size.

The calculation I gave in the video is what bra companies use to and bra fitters use for the band and cup size. A bra has both.

One of my strongest suggestions when losing weight is to make sure your undergarments fit you! Many women want to wait until they lose all the weight. This makes your clothes ill fitting.

Thats so true I lost 125lb and I tried holding out on replacing my underwear but it didn’t work, you should replace your bras with every 10lb you lose.
