You guys have changed my life! In the last 18 months. In 2/22, I lost my wife of 20 years, and at age 57, found myself at nearly 400 pounds and in terrible shape having been her caregiver for 10 years. I have since lost 110 pounds and have watched my body transformed from a couch potato to a developing muscular frame. I’m so thankful for your channel! You guys rock!

I got into my fitness journey last year. Hired a personal trainer. Really did change my life but after a while he started to neglect his “coaching”. He never did teach me much. All he would do is send me workouts and change my macros every now and then. I never learned anything about calories or changing workouts none of that. It was always work out constantly. More of the “gogginsl mentality. I’ve learned so much just by listening to you guys over the last few weeks than I ever did with him over the last year. Going solo and I’m confident because of you guys!! Thank you so much!!

I had a trainer about 10 years ago , who told me it was his mission to make me vomit on leg day.. I hated every work out, because I felt beat up afterwards and sore for days. I ended up quitting and have been afraid to get a trainer since.. putting my toe back in the water and meeting with a trainer in 2 days to get started on a strength program

Many of the nutrition, fitness and holistic wellness concepts I learned the hard way over the past 18 months are what you share. The variety of topics and authenticity with which you share are refreshing in the fitness industry and make you super relatable as fellow human beings. Thank you for being excellent!

Concerning todays episode I don’t come here to comment on the content as such, but rather, I want to applaud that Justin finally got/took much more time to talk and share his views between the three of you without being interrupted by you two, Sal and Adam, (whom I find often tend to dominate the space and the conversation, plus being a bit too busy about bringing your own point of view forward rather than listening to each other. And Justin). That’s my personal point of view. BUT today’s episode felt much more harmonised in terms of the space and time each three of you took and gave, and I just want to say that I appreciated that super-much! There were respect and equal space for everyone today - and that is super-nice to be a part of for the listener as well 👌👌👌.

Frisson - pronounced 'free-sonn' (not frishon) is something I first encountered as an infant! Apparently, my Mum found me crying listening to a piece of classical music as a baby. Movie trailers often do this to me too - in the cinema when it's really loud and epic feeling, I actually cried during a trailer that used Carmina Burana. My ex-boyfriend was an incredibly talented blues guitarist - his music still gives me goosebumps to this day, over 10 years later.

I also found certain carbs didn’t spike my levels. I suggest that if you’re not able to afford it than get the glucose goddess audiobook and do it. I learned a ton from her and don’t need the monitor based on her book! Good luck 😉 ❤

Interesting topic today gents. There was an interesting point on another quality channel that brought up the idea that some trainers play it safe with high-earning athletes so they aren't "the guy" who injured the star with intense training and now they are sitting out the game or even worse, the season.

I workout 30 min every week day involving supersets and lifting about as much as I possibly can for the last 2 years and have gained 20 pounds when I couldn't gain a pound if I tried before cuz I was a hard gainer. Should I dial it back? I change up rep ranges from 10s to 8s. Then 5s then back to 10s now. Used to just go to failure but I don't do that anymore When it comes to triceps I can only do a couple exercises. Like rope pull downs. If I try the close grip bench press my left elbow pops and it feels weird. So I see what yall are saying. How can I fix that issue?

I've been working out then taking a few days off walking, now I think the active recovery is helpful and working more moderate, I'll do walking and light weights for a recovery day. I also have to watch Sly, so thanks for the heads up on that. I was an attorney licensed to practice with tax court, Adam is again wrong, about inheritance tax and trusts. Only six states charge an inheritance tax Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. The federal estate tax threshold is $12.92 million, so if Adam died and put his million USD house in a trust for the kids it would make no difference, in terms of taxes, depending on the type of trust. If its not in a trust and held personally the basis is stepped up at the time of death, so the kid would only pay the difference in taxes at the time of sale between the date of Adams death and the sale price. Since the trust did not die, the original purchase price would be the basis so a trust would actually increase the taxes, assuming the price of the property increased. However a trust would avoid probate and would expedite the ability to transfer the property after death, and excess state attorneys and probate fees as well as would protect privacy and facilitate transfer of property. I am surprised that California hasn't decided to charge an inheritance tax yet, because you would expect they would be on the cutting edge of all things tax.as well as would protect privacy and facilitate transfer of property. as well as would protect privacy and facilitate transfer of property.

To me, the risk of over-emphasizing upbringing or genetics is that those things are un-changeable once you reach adulthood. If those are so important and you can't change them, then that removes all the hope that we can give people that they can change no matter what. If those things are so important, why bother if you didn't get a good dose of those two things? That's the danger. The reality is that the best therapy is kindness. It's truly the most under-rated self-care to receive. If you can be kind to people, enough of those kind moments can lift a person out of a bad place.
