No, you DON'T need to know about our latest weapons and aircraft. We had the smart bombs used in Desert Storm, back in the 1960s, but didn't use them. They didn't want them reverse-engineered by the Russians and Chinese. They were used on Iraq because they were obsolete, compared to our current arsenal. The newest and best is saved for real need. If you go pass through area 51 you have many levels Level 1: Snipers. Snipers are professional shooters, if they see you. they'll shoot you... I read this book when it came out. I was in MUFON at that time. I remember reading about that Russian ruse. I don't buy that for one minute. I don't buy the idea that Russia could even pull that off..and, what about the 'child size pilots'? Are they THAT heartless to sacrifice kids in a firey crash, just to deceive the U.S. - in 1947!
