@Anonymous Ghettos came up because the government failed in its duty to provide the poor citizens with affordable well planned housing which gave opportunity to greedy clueless developers who build filthy dinghy high-rises to maximize their profits

can we know the history before white colonialists grabbed it in 1900s? the lands commission of 1932 tells it all..muthaiga was part of ecosystem that included karura forests, that were preserved by kikuyus for their ceremonies and collecting medicinal herbs, hence the name muthaiga.

Grogan was involved in politics all his life in Kenya, serving on the Colonial Association and the legislative council. Grogan took an interest in the advancement and education of the indigenous African population, believing that ‘the road of advancement must be open to all Africans’ and only then could his vision of a ‘reasonable and decent society in Africa’ be fulfilled. I did not know Africa was not decent.
