Area RC Case Reed Zenoah G320 Goped Sport First Start

It bogs and runs lean when the clutch engages, but when the rpms catch up after the clutch is fully engaged, it doesn’t want to stop. I swapped on a 813 had laying around, but it did the exact same thing. I cut the diaphragm lever spring in the 990 and it still was bogging. I also broke the clutch spring. I think cutting the spring more and/or having a clutch that engages at a high rpm would help. I’m open to any advice and ideas.

Nice build, where did you get that factory pipe, I ordered the last one they had a few months ago and it got lost in shipping, I have been looking for another but with no luck, I'm currently trying to build a similar ped but with a reed case g290 if I can't find another factory pipe I'm going to use a jetpro pipe, and I have an MSD kicker ignition and billet flywheel I'm going to use as well, I'm sticking with a g290 because I don't want to deal with a clutch to use a g320 in my opinion a clutch ruins the way a sport rides because it won't engine brake and makes it feel different, anyways sorry for the rambling nice build can't wait to see a ride videos.

I ordered 2 factory pipes over the phone and they came in about 4 or 5 days I think. I placed my order over the phone at Factory Pipe LLC Watercraft and the new bitch there said they had like 10 left in stock or something, but she wasn’t sure, I wouldn’t count on it. I’m sorry yours got lost in shipping, I would be furious. It’s like that one time Rob Don or whatever lost his built RX7 rotary engine block to UPS or something, fucking bull shit. I haven’t heard of the MSD kicker ignition, what is that? And about the clutch, it probably does add unreliability because my fucking clutch spring broke and it’s going to be a pain in the ass to tare everything back down to get to it, but I imagine it does protect your engine somewhat and I think it engine brakes just fine, especially if the clutch engages at a lower rpm.

@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 yeah man I was pissed off when I heard it got lost, I got a refund and I don't blame factory pipe,they did their part and tried to make it right and I ordered the very last one they had I heard that that pipe makes crazy torque which is what I was looking for but when I get to that stage of my build I will look for a used jetpro or order one and wait from dino, which is fine but his prices have went up and takes a good while to get. And MSD kicker ignition is a remotely mounted CDI box and coil that rounds off a 7.2v rc car battery it's pretty neat and it has an adjustable pickup sensor. I got a ton of other projects and things I need to get done first so the gopeds stuff is on the back burner currently. I enjoy your goped videos and hope to see more in the future, I most likely won't ever post any videos because I'm not good on video and don't have anything good to record on and I'm slow at getting projects done.

@@briang4470 Yeah I’m excited for the low end mid torque too that’s what factory pipe says. So since I broke the clutch spring, I put in a different clutch I had laying around and holly shit it engages so fucking high, but it doesn’t bog as much. And saying you’re not very good with the camera is not a good enough excuse for me. My advice is if you’re not making a YT short or tik tok garbage, always film horizontally. It’s hard to go wrong otherwise. Me and others I’m sure would love to see you stuff!

@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 getting a clutch with a satisfactory stall speed is going to be very difficult, especially if you run a large spindle, the reason why is because a goped puts these small engines under a dead load and these clutches were only meant to hold enough to drive an rc car or run a price of lawn equipment and they just don't last very long in a goped application, that's why I'm choosing to stick with the g290 direct drive and no clutch to slip or burn up, also I really do appreciate your advice but making videos just isn't for me, besides if I tried they would probably look like they were recorded on a 100 year old potatoe cam and then uploaded to a commodore 64 lol.

What model do you have? And is it spindle driven or chain?

Without the clutch might need to drill some new bolt holes somehow. Since I ran a clutch, I did not deal with that first hand, but actually base cat seemed to have that issue and he just drilled new holes or something.
