From what I can see Yr seeing the stride without knowing you are. Yr moving with him going with the flow really well & he transitions beautifully downward into trot . You definitely don't seem to be getting in his way Yr riding him beautiful lovely partnership.

my downhill horse has a Harry Dabbs dressage saddle! I really recommend it for difficult backs but it is kinda pricey

I have a warmblood and she’s ridiculous to fit a saddle to! I don’t have a dressage saddle but we’ve actually managed to find a jump saddle that looks incredibly promising!! It’s a John Whittaker Overton! Loved watching this! He was so game for jumping 😄 have you tried a gel pad or a prolite pad or something? Might just help for the moment? X
