Shading or the tools don't matter focus on light and shadows cause it is most important part if you learn how to trace (understand) light or shadows then you can easily shade that's why shading is not important focus on light and shadows

Bahut achhe se samajhaya aapne. hum bhi dekh rahe hai ye chiz ki starting me hi blending tool pe bahut focus karte hai sab. sirf blending tool pe hi nahi paper pencil eraser aur bhi bahut kuchh pe hum batay unko ki tool pe dhyan mat do skills pr do. meri school ki drawing teacher bhi tools pr dhyan deti hain sikhane se pehle hi boli ki ye pencil lo wo pencil lo ab hum unko kaise samjhay

The most thing about "artists" i see nowadays is that they dont pay attention to any fundamentals and skip them all together. So, for this they dont know how to draw with construction, how to visualise perspective and 3d space. Most of them are focused on putting shading, shading tools, and coloring, Like foundation structure bigra hua hai toh jitna bhi realistic coloring kar lo it'll look bad. So focus and practice perspective, construction and all the line work fundamentals.

No,it's depend on your form of art you draw..... I draw by blending and the result always comes good to me so you can't node here to use blending tools... As i want to draw blurry background... Then in this case literally no one can draw without blending

I do not use blending when I use to draw in my sketchbook, I only use it at the time of making some artwork for exhibition and commission artwork
