Knowing the drop rates won't matter when half the rewards are kits and marks. Clear those out and the boxes will be worth the cost of the keys.

Great vid Spencer thanks for the info as always. Its an interesting ship and as always I will be acquiring this one to tinker with..... is it worth it who knows? But we will find out This ships boff seating is better to me than the Vaad. SPencer do you think the lack of a shuttle bay hurts this ship?

Thanks for the breakdown video! About your question: If I hadn't picked it up before, I'd be choosing the Hirogen Predator for the event campaign box. Fun ship with a layout I like, and was the last piece I needed for my Hirogen theme character.

I think until proven otherwise, ships that are only “available” in the non existent mudds bundles shouldn’t count in a ship comparison. Deca won’t even acknowledge we exist at this point- so while we can hope and even expect the bundles to come back, nobody can really count on it. :(

This seems to be a worthy "gamble" ship within the STO biosphere though I still don't favor the gambling over outright purchasing. A ship for those that have everything &/or those that have good luck. I like how whomever designed the trait seemed to place a bit of thought into its function & where the Hawk Fighters show-up.

Still holding onto the box from this year's campaign (likely going to be a D7 eventually) but I have no idea what I might get with the one from next campaign. If they keep giving out all three prizes that is, if not 2x t6 coupons are better in my position (relatively new FTP player without a fleet) but I would love to be able to get my Temporal Recruit an era appropriate ship.

On the one had its another Juggernaut, especially a MW one. That's great. On the other hand? Its a gamblebox ship.... I guess I'll wait for the inevitable Fed/KDF/Rom Juggernaut Bundle before getting my own.

Sadly I'm a romulan who only flies romulan ships. So this ship has little to no interest for me. Maybe if the last lockbox ship is that vertical romulan ship from lower decks.

I'm honestly feeling mixed on this. I sorta like that it's built in array does antiproton, tetryon, and polaron, so you could do a few different dew builds with it..... But I'd rather have each of those as standalone lances/juggernaut arrays. Well, here's hoping we get an alliance hybrid juggernaut with an antiproton lance. We also need klingon/dominion and romulan/dominion hybrid ships to fill out the combinations.

So if a person doesn't have any of the the 3, what do you suggest between them? Go for agility preference? Re: next year's lockbox, that emerald jug for me. I always liked it the way it looked from a distance.

The stats and BOFF layout is decent better than most the trait is trash for higher end runs unless you can use go down fighting with a good day to die to treat your hull as if it was 50% could be useful, the recharge times and wind up is long but you are doing three different types of damage so makes sense is it good yes should be in the c store not a LB ship, but will make it I think into next year event campaign box. Would I recommend it if you have the funds and can get lucky to get a lb for it than I think it looks fun to play around with.

I'd rather DPS tank in Dhailkhina tbh. Suppression Barrage + Singularity Abilities a bit better for that. You could certainly try that on the Areore, but I don't think it'd be as effective.

Man, I have to wonder how much money they make on doing a ship like this straight to Lockbox, rather than selling it directly even just *briefly* for a limited time. Then putting it to Lockbox. I saw this and got really excited: the ship itself looks cool, the æsthetic potential of the abilities sound great besides their play fun/potential, they layout (weapons and BOFFs) sounds great but....I'll never bother trying to get it. I refuse to gamble, *especially* on something that's only *one* character in that it would likely cost hundreds of dollars to acquire.. But I would throw cash at that in a heartbeat were it available. What a great barbie ship that one could justify for any faction! But nope, not allowed. What a disappointment. Regarding the question: IIRC I'm heavily considering the Einstein class. I'm a sucker for that 'Cold-war' sort of look of the earlier Kelvin ships that few others have, and it just looks fun to play with fun consoles, and most of the stuff I've seen on it is solid. But I originally did all the looking months ago when the event was first announced, so will surely go back and window-shop for quite some time between STOBetter, STOwiki, YT, and discords before finally deciding. Thanks again for all your work, Spencer. Once again when I logged in and the launcher showed this, your channel was the first I went to, and sure enough there was a video. Love it.

Most lockbox ships just aren't worth it. They rarely bring anything game changing to the table which cannot also be acquired a lot cheaper otherwise. This one is no exception to the rule.

Man the Lower Decks ships really are all ugly without an exception. Stats-wise the ship is probably better than 9/10 ship releases but I have all other ships that are somewhat similar and much better looking so....hard pass.
