I got one of these a while ago and trigger response is amazing and solid build quality the only bad things I could find was the top rail isnt the same level on the front or back so a long sight doesn't fit on and the whole front end has come loose after a few skirmishes and I cant figure out how to tighten it up.

Ok need an opinion. I am just getting back into airsoft. I am going to buy either the krytac crb or the ares amoeba 014... I enjoy the look of the 014 by quite a but more than the crb... however I like that the crb is full metal and has a slight edge with internals. I'm not really concerned about money but the krytac for me is around 60 dollars more expensive (considering the cheapest I can find. Then I would want a fake suppressor so I would need to replace the inner barrel which adds another 50 to 75 bucks. I would Even tho I prefer the look of the ares I want a solid reliable gun that I do not have to do much modification to. The ares has a 6.03 tightbore which would be slightly better than the crb. rof and fps are about the same. accuracy tests about the same. As far as reliability has anyone had either of the guns and broke them?? If so how long did they last. what went wrong? I would assume the krytac to be the more reliable gun... however The ares from my understanding has a 3 year stock internal warranty. Does this mean if I leave the gun stock and the motor or something blows they will replace it within 3 YEARS? This seems like an incredible warranty. Has anyone tried to warranty their gun from ares? Will it take a year to get back if it breaks?? Any thoughts are appreciated.

The two guns internally are actually very similar to be honest. Both are 11.1v Lipo ready. Both have built in mosfets and great trigger response. Advantages for the ares would be the slightly "tighter" barrel at 6.03 compared to 6.05. And that it has a actual quick change spring. The krytac advertises a quick change spring but it's not nearly as easy as the ares. Advantages for the krytac is it has 8mm caged ball bearings. Where I believe the ares has bushings. The other advantage just for me is that I have two authorized sellers of krytac close to me and nobody within several hours drive has the ares so I would have to order in the ares and if it broke then I would have more of an issue with fixing it. Since you have or have used both. Do you prefer the ares 013 or 014?? Have you seen the dark earth models? Do the polymer body match the rail system in color sometimes it looks like the rail and body are slightly off in color. Probably due to the different materials? I'm usually simply a black gun guy however the dark earth color seemed pretty neat.

Hey, I was going to purchase the Ares Amoeba AM-014 Aeg and I was wondering what battery options I have for the gun Besides Li-Poly batteries. It takes a 7.4v Peq type battery, and the only ones I can find are LiPo. I do not want to use Lipo batteries and I couldnt find any other type of Compatible batteries. Hello Random Trashy I just got a brand new ares amoeba with the EFCS gearbox and out the box my gun will shoot about 4 groups of about 5 round burst, then it will go dead until I unplug the battery and plug it back on. I thought it might of been the trigger box and magnet sensor unit so I bought a whole new kit, installed it and the same thing happened, then I thought well it has to be the magnet I switched the magnet to S up (it was N up before) but it does the same thing.... cant figure this one out, do you think I got two electronic sets that are equally bad? I made sure the magnet reader is as close as possible, all I had done prior to that was a dean plug, any help would be highly appreciated as I as about to toss this beautiful gearbox and go hpa, I just feel it's such a nice box to use for that... thanks, also I use a 11.1v lipo

We were able to remove the suppressor. However Ares had tighened the outerbarrel down so tight it pinched and we couldnt fit a shorter inner barrel. However the Xcortech tracer is not affixed. It's a tiny but shorter but looks great. We are taking it to the field tonight to sling some lasers.

+RandomTrashy I will do today after work! I ended up getting the am-013 so its the full size rail, but that tech process would be the same with the 14. It preformed pretty amazing yesterday. It needs a little tuning to make it a bit more consistent, but that even said it was pretty straight shooting until I started shooting at what i would say was max range. Over all I love the badger so far. I'll get you pictures, and I am hoping to get a video up soon as well.
