My favorite throwing shoe ever is still the early 90s Nike Zoom Rotational which was gray, red, and eggplant.

I used to use some of my old wrestling shoes as throwing shoes since they were pretty beat up after a few seasons. Worked way better than using some random tennis shoes I’d happen to wear when I was younger

Good video Coach! My son took your first online course during the covid breakout and shutdown of sports. We've been following you for years. Question... our biggest problem is he has wide feet. VSAthletics has a nice VS shoe, but it wears out too quickly due to his constant training for indoor and outdoors. We're trying a Valaasa pair now. Its a wider shoe than most, not as wide as VS shoes, but a lot faster. He needs a slow shoe on the other foot, but a good wide one. Suggestions?

Love the Saucony, they last about two months of practice. Bought up every pair my size on ebay I could fine.

What current shoe is the best strictly just for a glider? No rotation and won’t use the same shoe for disc. I’ve coached for over 10 years and have kind of loss track to which ones are best for glide since so many are mostly made to be rotational. Thank you so much for the video!

boy. most shoes are made for rotation. but i’d say adidas, and nike brands will all work fine.

What shoe would you recommend for a coming out the back for a slower spin? Definitely for slicker surfaces? I had a meet this weekend and was slipping out the back from the ring.

be sure to get in balance. and try a slower shoe like the nike rotational sd. a little grippier bottom and adidas zero.

There seems to be more Nike models than you are calling out (unless i am not understanding you). I see at least three models (two SDs and one not) and three price points: Nike Zoom SD 4 and Nike Zoom Rival SD 2 Nike Zoom Rotational 6 ($80, $65, $100). Is there a good reason for the $15 from the SD 4 and SD 2? All Nike throwing shoes have been out of stock for like two months (as of April 22, 2023), at the end of HS T&F season. What is the best time to find them in stock, and preferable try them on?

it seems as though all the major supplier ran out of the large sizes late in the season. we’ve heard this repeated from camp attendees and online members all over the US. I’m sure they will restock soon. 💪

Thank you for the Video, I really appreciated it. My son is having a problem finding shoes because he is a size 17 shoe. The only one we could find was Velaasa Stones Throw Shoe BK. Do you know of any other shoes that come in that size or larger? He's only 14 and I'm afraid if he grows any more we won't be able to find larger sizes.

the hammer shoe tends to have a bit moore rubber on the heel and often the rubber is softer on the shot shoe
