I hate that this precious gift of a musical genius, this lady smoked cigarettes. There is a certain sparkle to her early voice before the soundtrack to the album Sparkle. This particular track. This is the first time I'm hearing it live and it's just got started and it's just getting good. In her latter days in the time of Nessun Dorum, she had lost this upper range. She had become a rich cello of a contralto. However, what she had to work with later on was more than many had from the get-go. The Queen of SOUL!
