My favorite part was how the ducklings would not give up when trying to jump up the seawall. They just kept trying until they got up, because they had to in order to survive. Compare that to kids who are quick to give up because life is easy for them, being taken care of by someone else.

i am always surprised how little sense duck mums have of their babies abilities - expecting them to jump down and up a foot or more. Fortunately they make up for it by staying close and patiently returning as often as needed
