I find the full size Rex Zeros online used for $400 pretty frequently, about once a month I'll see one pop up on my local gun trader website. It's a quality weapon at a great price. Arex just released an updated version of this with an optic cut and slimmer grip. I would see if you can pick one of those up on the used market. I bet you'll have someone who buys it, doesn't like the SA/DA and immediately tries to sell it. I haven't ran into those but I haven't searched for it either. Just curious, what state do you live in? If you're in the same state of Florida I can probably point you to one.

I agree funny enough I was looking around to see what those green hogue grips would look on my zero1t and your the only one I saw who had them not a bad look but I think I’ll go with the black and grey or the hogue fde. I will say if your planning on running a red dot or anything else I would fully reccomend the tactical version I picked mine up for $600 out the door it’s got the optics cut and plates raised suppressor sights for co witness a threaded barrel and a plus 2 mag extension as much as I love my legion I’m seriously considering letting it go it costs twice as much as is half as versatile you can only use sig optics unless you want to pay for a slide cut and it must be carried in double action which makes it one expensive range gun and to get it to where you arex is right out of the box I’d be looking at about $2k and after I put a dual adjustable trigger and did some polish work and hammer spring extension the trigger pull feels almost identical to my sig I will say I love the grips on the legion and that was the first thing I noticed needed to be changed or stippled on the zero 1t but with all the upgraded features and the ability to carry in SAO make this an absolute steal for the price

Why would you carry the Rex Zero but not your Sig? 🤔
@jeremeymiller34062 жыл бұрын
@@davidhartley6232 thats easy it’s because the arex has a external safety and most sigs besides government or military models don’t and mine did not. I I think a lot of owners want that extra safety especially if you have one in the tube. It also allows me to carry it cocked and locked in single action so I don’t have to worry about that super heavy first pull. in turn that’s very stupid to do with a sig and could potentially lead to a very bad day for you. Any other questions? 🤣

Wish it was easier to get decent kydex light bearing holster for this gun. Love the gun itself, but it’s hard to me to carry anything other than my Glock 19 due to the vast amount of aftermarket support for Glocks

I agree. This isn't my carry gun but a gun I have fun with at the range. I would carry this on a battle belt and when I lived in a state that had real winters, I could carry this without printing.

The trigger is ok but almost as soon as I bought it I bought a dual adjustable flat trigger and lighter sear spring and it makes a big difference in feel, reset , and consistent finger placement in my opinion I’m just accustomed flat triggers in my glocks, sigs , and AR’s I have an armory craft trigger in my sig and love it so to my surprise when I saw they had one for my zero 1 tactical I picked it up with the spring for around $80 ish bucks I believe there are another couple aftermarket choices as well for every thing this tactical version comes with to get my sig there all in would be almost $2k I paid just under $600 for the full size tactical and it’s been a work horse it’s spat out everything I can find unfortunately can’t say the same for my sig which is one of my favorite guns all in all to me this is a lot closer To like a cz 99 clone with an H&K slide so they are different enough I can definitely shoot my arex better having red dot capabilities and the aftermarket trigger that rivals the SRT in my sig but with my sig I’m limited to their lackluster Romeo optic so it’s irons for the legion. I would love to see them transfer the ergo grip from the new alpha into the Rex zero out of the box the grip and the trigger are the only things that leave anything to be desired especially at this price luckily both of those are easy fixes I’ve already dealt with these guns just go bang.
@2amichaelj3 жыл бұрын
I've shot a fair share of sa/da guns and this by far has one of the better ones out of the box (the FNX45 trigger is atrocious). I've only seen 2 aftermarket triggers for the Rex Zero and it just kind of fell way side as I'm more inclined to change my AR15 triggers, Glock triggers, and striker fired triggers and that's an expensive enough endeavor how it is. I keep telling myself I'm going to upgrade this more but the night sights sell out anytime I have the cash and that's really all I've seen for aftermarket support for this pistol. Not that it needs much. As much as I read reviews and watched videos before making an informed decision to purchase this, nothing quite beats actually shooting one and feeling it. I also own a P226 and while I find some parts and features better on the Sig Sauer, Arex really made an awesome pistol for $600 and I utilize the Rex Zero more than my Sig because I find I a little more enjoyable to shoot.
@jeremeymiller34063 жыл бұрын
@@2amichaelj I completely understand ya there that was the first thing to go on my Glocks and AR any of them will technically do the job just fine it’s nice to upgrade materials like you said at least in most instances I’m replacing polymer parts with aluminum or coated steel I agree out of the box the SA out of the box its not quite as nice as an art or even a beretta m9/92 but it is very nice already oem its better than any striker fire gun I’ve shot and the double action doesn’t ’t have that heavy stacking feeling like a revolver or some other cheaply manufactured hammer fire semi autos or even some more expensive ones like the fnx its just a little heavier than your avg DA pull which isn’t necessarily a bad thing just another safety feature and what’s nice about this is you never have to use the DA if you don’t want you can carry it just like a 1911 that wouldnt be wise with a sig. it’s funny when I was actually looking for my first double stack 45 I was between that FN, an xd series an H&K or a Glock 41 or possibly the SF21 like you said it smart to get out spend the range time and the money compare them it will pay off in the long run. I’m also an avid golfer and I give my friends the same advice about golf equipment and to go in totally open minded and make your decision on results. Also as long as it’a done safely it’s not a bad idea to have the buyer close their eyes as they pick up and manipulate each of the guns that will eliminate shopping by brand bias and not feel and comfortableness . As much as I wanted to like the FN I came to the Same conclusion about the trigger and just the bulkiness of the gun and I have big hands that’s too much money for those Not to be a perfect fit for me would love to see it in 9mm though. After a couple trips the Glock 41 came out on top which is no surprise considering that’s the brand I started with. The sig was a learning curve with the higher bore access but I got it now I didn’t rod that with the Rex because of how similar that bore is too the sig. I just swapped out the oem trigger Because I’m accustom to flat face triggers on my pistols and rifles that’s the main reason I wanted a switch otherwise out of the box the grip is the only thing I really didnt like. I will say the grip and beaver tail on my sig is nicer and I just love the gunmetal grey finish but probably not worth the justification in price difference but I’ll bang on to both for the time Being i as well find myself reaching more for my arex as well the red dot or a light/laser makes shooting a little easier and it’s a trend more modern guns are starting to follow for the features and the price you just can’t beat it. My Rex is my primary nightstand gun because It needs to have a lignt and my legion doesn’t have a rail so without paying for custom work or putting some ugly bulky attachment to it for now it’s staying as is like you said their is always other guns and other parts to tinker with! 🤣
