First song I ever learned to play inits entirety with the recorder when I was thirteen. The friend who played guitar along with me is not among us anymore. How time goes by. But how nice to see Les playing that beautiful tune so many years later. I kind of pretended I was Les when I played the song, and now I can even chat with him through the internet! Who would have said it 45 years ago! This version has some magic moments that take me back to those days. Those beautiful days when Mike and Les would take us to a distant past, imagined in melancholy, slightly somber and yet utterly beautiful, moving and dream-like. What I'd give to live that again! Rob and Les, thank you!!!

I love this song, I could listen to it on repeat for hours. It really is an expansive portal for the mind into some other world of peace and harmony! That's the only problem with this song is that it's over too soon. I've probably worn the grooves smooth in my Ommadawn record because of this song, ha!

Whenever I hear Mike Oldfield I renew my hope in the human being as Mike transcends us and returns us to what we thought we didn't have, the soul still clear, in all living beings. Only a genius can give us back what we always had, surprised! Exquisite interpretation in beautiful arrangement. Many thanks to both of you!

Roberto Guima , I agree with every word. I am not sure if Mike Oldfield or David Bedford wrote this. They both perform it together on Mike Oldfield's Collaborations album, and it is great, and this version is great too! sttgaegoaktd

Return to Penrhos, eh? Is that a deliberate reference to Oldfield's Return to Ommadawn (the original of which I believe has a close connection to Penrhos)? I prefer this version; I just got finished listening to the original first. Then again, it's had forty years to mature, and Mike Oldfield's version has no reason to be ashamed of itself (especially since the recorder player is common to both).

ooo man - this is actually filmed at Penrhos Court (right?) ❤🔥 ... you won't believe how much THIS ONE used to thrill me 40 years ago AND STILL DOES ...!!! 🤩 Just bought a couple of your CDs - including christmas-stuff - here's one of mine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5-mpqp-aNh4a7c (not that I'm a big christmas-fan but just dit it within 5 minutes 😉and fairly low-tech...🙄) Les - I really love your recorder-sound & aproach !! 💓
