Im just stateing this because i was also told you should never willingly allow your horse to sniff another horses poop it can make them extreamly sick smelling another horses poop

That's the first time I'm hearing of this! Horses actually sniff each others feces to get more information on the horse that left them. Stallions sniff out poop in their search for a mare. A mare's manure contains important information on her stage of the estrous cycle. Stallions (or stallion-like geldings, like Cajou from time to time) will exhibit a flehmen response when smelling the manure of a mare they would like to mate with. It's a very natural thing for horses to stop and sniff piles of poop as it contains a lot of information for them🤗 So that's why I let him stop and have a sniff, as it's only natural and after all, he's still just a silly little horse😋
