Pretty darn cute, and a simple way to mimic argyle. I have used twin needles when sewing garments but wasn’t sure they would go through all the layers of a quilt. Now I know. My mom’s sewing supply included some very tiny bias tape which I thought I would never use. I like the wider tapes in order to be sure to catch all the raw edges inside when making aprons, hot pads, etc. Now I think I’ll just go find a monochrome charm pack and use up that tiny bias of hers. She passed away in August of 2018 at the age of 102 and I’m just now trying to work through her things and finding ways to use what she had. I’m also going to try to repurpose some of her cotton and denim clothes into quilting of some sort. Thanks again for your time dedicated to making videos for our inspiration.

I am a VERY new quilter having just really starting late last summer. I am 73 and have a lot to learn. I have sewn all my adult life, but not quilting. I have a 1630 Bernina, a 780 and just purchased the q 20. I haven't gotten it yet. I just hope I can learn to use it. I just got over 20 charm packs from a friend and this is the perfect quilt for some of them. I am working on piecing my 12th quilt. Thanks so much for this great tutorial. Oh Laura, This quilt screams soft and feminine in its simplicity. I am soooooo glad you used pink. I made a face when you put the black up. LOL I have a twin needle which came with my machine but thanks for discussing the numbers. I just put the needle points down & eyeballed it not thinking of a number. I've been slowing down until I see a hand Dr. I hope it's fixable so I can resume my sewing hobby without pain. Thanks for the tips & sharing your method. Be Blessed!
