I definitely recommend the ladybug border, but I think I would add a narrow stopping border first, so that your ladybug fabrics in the block wouldn’t touch the border fabric. I’m especially grateful for your idea of matching the exact size of the charm pack pieces when you cut your additional squares. Thanks for your channel. I learn a lot. I recently made your “argyle” baby quilt!

I ❤️ love the color RED so when I can get away with being redundantly Red I so do it. I admit I was smitten with the little black frame at first glance but then admit my heart went red. I see not solid but maybe Red background with tiny white heart's? It is a "Sweetheart" of a quilt. So a little to the creator it is adorable and I am inspired by your color and charmed by the fabric choices. Thank you gorgeous that. I love 💘 the idea of making a center and adding squares and or borders to it with accenting Red fabrics. Thank uou, Elizabeth Fischer ❤️

Laura, my vote is to add a border but whatever you choose to do it is a lovely bright and happy quilt. Thanks for the tips of cutting the extra five squares and using the outside measurement. Your sewing is extremely accurate and as a result your blocks are joined perfectly. Laura, you are a wonderful teacher and mentor. I have learned and continue to learn many things from you. Thank you.

My personal choice would be to use a wide "ladybug" border. I would also add some sashing both ways in a dark colour such as navy blue or even black to break up the blocks a bit because while I like the layout, with all those squares being so busy, I think sashing would make the quilt even more attractive. Thankyou so much for your tutorial. You make quilting look so easy. I'm only just starting out at the ripe old age of 74 and I'm armed to the teeth with loads of charms and strips, so I'm excited to start on this one for my very first project. Hopefully I can remember to post a photo of the finished product so you can let me know what you think, Laura. From Oz with luv & stuff - Suzie
