@ariac2693 As a suggestion stay away from Star Wars episodes 7, 8, and 9 the sequel trilogies. The Star Wars sequel trilogies is a piece of crap. Kathleen Kennedy and Disney ruin the Star Wars sequel trilogies. When George Lucas sold his company. He gave Disney his treatments of the sequel trilogies because he was already working on episode 7,8,and 9 before he sold his company to Disney. George Lucas sold 7,8, and 9 to Disney firs before he sold Lucas films. But Disney just said F U we're doing it our way. I found out what George Lucas's version of the sequel trilogies and It would have been way better than what Disney put out. Also, Kathleen Kennedy and James Mangold ruined Indiana Jones 5 movie. Katherine Kennedy is now known as the franchise killer. She ruined the Star Wars franchise and the Indiana Jones franchise. In light of Disney's current financial troubles. I Hope Disney will lose so much money that they will have no choices to sell Lucas film. Hopefully someone worthy would buy it and get rid of the sequel trilogies. Kathleen Kennedy and all her cronies should be fired. That's why I did not go see Indiana Jones 5 and I will not even bother to see it for free because I am a George Lucas fan and supporter. Because of what Disney did to Star Wars and Lucas film. George Lucas supporters, who are fans of the first 6 Star Wars movies which are the original trilogies and prequel trilogies. Also fans of the first 3 Indiana Jones movies. Are not going to go see Indiana Jones 5. Within a year, Disney lost over a billion dollars because of the several flopped movies. The Little Mermaid Live Action,Elemento,and Indiana Jones 5. There was a rumor that Disney might sell Lucas film. Although it's a rumor I really really hope that it was true. Also Disney stock was at $144 a share and drop to $88 a share currently. At the Indiana Jones 5 Hollywood premiere. On stage Steven Spielberg snubbed Kathlyn Kennedy and Frank Marshall her husband. In my opinion. Anybody who likes the Disney Star Wars sequel trilogies are not George Lucas fans or supporters. If anybody wants to know what George Lucas's sequel trilogies were going to be like. check out the book. The Star Wars archives XXL volume 1 and 2.

Because to achieve this is extremely difficult. This movie nearly collapsed ... the writer quit, so they had to bring in Tony Gilroy to rewrite it - and then it needed re-shot and re-edited Utterly amazing that it came out as one of the best Star Wars ever ... and then spawned - DEFINITELY - the best Star Wars, Andor [imo - lol]
@Biggiiful Жыл бұрын
@jazzx251. It's difficult, but not unobtainabley difficult. Especially for a corporation with the resources and funds that Disney has. It's not about it being difficult. It's about bad management on multiple levels. If you're Disney, you find the people responsible for this movie and Andor. And you throw money at them. You look for serious writers and people who care about Star Wars. Not diversity hires or rooms full of female writers just for ideological reasons. You find some people who have worked with Denis Villeneuve on Dune and Blade Runner and you bring them in to. There is zero reason why Disney couldn't be pumping out quality film after quality film, if they really wanted to.

Even though it’s not perfect, because they were just starting to use it when this film came out, the fact that they brought Grand Moff Tarkan back was amazing. Perfect reaction, Aria. This movie is an excellent addition to the Star Wars saga. The intensity and war like feel to this film is spectacular and it has the right amount of humor in it to make it fun as well. Seeing the likeness of Peter Cushing(Tarkin) being used to bring his character back is so breathtaking, that it's hard to believe that this movie did not win the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. Every character is so well written and given great personalities. The writing and directing of this movie is top notch. As a Star Wars fan who grew up watching these movies from the start when they were originally released, you can only imagine how most of us were anticipating seeing Darth Vader on the silver screen for the first time since 1983! Needless to say, we were not disappointed. We all love "The Imperial March", too. I just saw John Williams in concert a couple of weeks ago, and I really hope you get to see him perform in concert as well. When he plays the Imperial March, everyone goes crazy. @@ariachanson01 I realize now that my statement about seeing Darth Vader for the first time since 1983 was inaccurate. We did see him at the very end of "Revenge of the Sith", although that was expected, and the scene was very short. None of us expected to see him in this movie, until the studio announced it prior to its release. Again, the scenes with Vader are short, but they are very memorable. Watching you fangirling over Darth Vader and the Imperial March is extremely delightful and charming. Yes, he is an amazing villain.

You're a little young, compared to me. I could never warm so much to the prequels; recasting and such. I grew up seeing the Star Wars movies in theaters. Did you know IV's actual name? It was called "Star Wars." Only when Lucas realized he could make some more did he add to the title. Anyway, my point is that I felt attached to the characters of the original trilogy. I tried watching the prequels but couldn't feel anything for the characters. Just me. But when I saw "Rogue One," I was drawn in by two things: first, the seriousness of the movie, devoid of chases or goofy sidekicks; and second, the revelation of why the Death Star could be destroyed. The proximity to and leading right into "...a New Hope" was a brilliant idea. The heroism of this movie is unparalleled. As a bonus, it was so nice to have a sidekick that wasn't annoying or cute. K-2SO was the perfect droid for me...sarcastic and cynical; and the voice was perfect.

Rogue One, despite being made in the Disney phase, is NOT a sequel. It's the missing link between the two Lucas trilogies although it doesn't focus on main characters from the saga. Those are Death troopers. (Dark Troopers are robots). Death troopers are the equivalent of the Death squadron of the SS. (the Empire being very nazi inspired, Tarkin is even directly inspired from Josef Goebbels) Going to hyperspace from the atmosphere is dangerous, normally there are safety procedures to avoid that but if you are gonna die anyway, the Hell with procedures... Walkers is a generic term for walking vehicles. The 4 legs ones are AT ATs, the two leg ones in RotJ are AT ST, there are other models smaller or more ancients., those you see there are prototypes. Carrie Fisher died a few days after the movie came out. Bail Organa died on Alderaan, Leia asked Kenobi to bring him R2 with the plans.

In the EU, the Rebels were painted as the underdog and for the most part it was true. They were massively outgunned, outnumbered. A lot of their tactics were hit and run. They jump in, hit whatever the target was, then get out. If that target happen to be a Star Destroyer of some kind, a single volley of 2 Torpedos from a squadron of 12 X-Wings were able to take down a Destroyers shields, which would then let Y-Wings and other craft add onto it. If a fight took too long they had to get out or be destroyed. But in later books, it was finally shown the Rebels had to do some horrendous stuff to survive. Looking good btw 😁

I'm glad you enjoyed this so much, R2-D2 was my 1st Star Wars figure I ever got as a kid back in 1978 or 79 and has always had a special place in my heart. I live how this ties together the prequel trilogy, Episode 4( just plain STAR WARS) A New Hope and the animated REBELS series, The CGI work with Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia added to the authenticity of being set just prior to Star Wars. All this from just a few sentences in the opening scrolling introduction. Funny thing I just finished reading novel titled Death Star by Michael Reaves & Steve Perry, an excellent read. But there is no mention of ROUGE ONE in it and it follows another timeline of sort, it covers a period of time in the early days of the Death Star construction to around the same period shown in Rouge One, then follows in the shadows of thought of the characters on board the Death Star through the entire SW EPS 4 storyline. Had me on edge of my seat several times. If you get a chance, well worth the time it takes to read it. Bye for now beautiful!❤❤❤❤❤

The bigger one All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) was a quadrupedal walker used by the Galactic Empire after the fall of the Galactic Republic. "Your Highness. The transmissions we received. What is it that they've sent us?" "Hope." RIP Carrie Fisher 😢 The ONLY Disney era Star Wars movie worth a damn. The rest are utter garbage. Rogue One gets better every time I watch it. Fun Fact: Alan Tudyk plays the droid K-2SO through motion capture technology. Tudyk previously played the robot character Sonny in I, Robot (2004). Red Gold Leaders Fact: Gareth Edwards and his creative team discovered some old film canisters while rummaging around the Lucasfilm warehouses. When he asked what they were, an employee said they were old Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) footage. The discovery led to the inclusion of unused material featuring Red Leader (Drewe Henley) and Gold Leader (Angus MacInnes) in this movie. Attention To Detail Fact: Darth Vader's appearance in this film is meticulously patterned after his look in the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). While Vader's chest plate is uncovered in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi (1983), his costume initially had his Sith robes draped over his shield, as well as red lenses in the eye holes of the mask. Considering this film takes place mere days before the original film, the costume designers recreated Vader's look down to the last detail. This movie was made with love by actual Star Wars fans.

As a general rule of thumb with all movie sequels and series, they are intended to be watched in release order, not chronological order in which they take place. An example would be watching Episode 1-3 before watching 4-6 of Star Wars. The prequels would ruin the surprise of learning the Skywalker family tree, which are the main plot points in 4, 5, and 6. Not as big a deal here, but watching Rogue One before watching the trilogy, you wouldn't grasp the importance of things like the Deathstar plans and who Vader is.
@ariachanson01 Жыл бұрын
Agreed
@G.I.HistoryHandbook Жыл бұрын
Idunno… Strict release order for Disney Star Wars is a total mess. For just live action Star Wars, release order would mean following Episode III with: -Episode VII: The Force Awakens -Rogue One -Episode VIII: The Last Jedi -Solo -The Mandalorian, Season 1 -Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker -The Mandalorian, Season 2 -The Book of Boba Fett -Obi-Wan Kenobi -Andor, Season 1 -The Mandalorian, Season 3 I don't see ANY benefit to that particular viewing order. It's how many of us watched them, but I would NEVER want to subject a new viewer to that madness. There's nothing intentional about it. Also, the surprise of learning the Skywalker family tree is why I'm partial to watching the prequels as an extended flashback between Episodes V an VI. (I know...Not everybody's thing.) I like that it moves the twin reveal from Return of the Jedi to a better one in Revenge of the Sith. In release order it's a lackluster reveal; the viewer finds out when Luke just guesses it, and that's that. The birth scene in Revenge of the Sith becomes nothing but continuity porn. (Hey, we're seeing that thing we already know about!) Watching the prequels as a flashback, the viewer learns about the twins the same time as Obi-Wan. When Padme says her daughter's name it's a great twist, but ONLY if you haven't seen Return of the Jedi. (I also think Vader's redemption in Episode VI is much more satisfying after you've seen Palpatine's corruption of Anakin in the prequels. For first-time viewers, it also turns Hayden's ghostly cameo from baffling to feel-good.)

Hi aria anwsering to your question in the beggining about thoose tropers they are called Death troopers also known as death soldiers, were an elite variant of stormtroopers specializing in stealth, espionage and lethality that served the Galactic Empire. Operating under Imperial Intelligence as the death trooper division, they acted as a protective detail for significant Imperial officers.

The added context of Vader seeing Leia's ship leave and that scene at the beginning of A new hope where Vader finally catches up with her ship and demands the files and she goes i dunno what u be talking about, I am in a diplomatic mission. aria, if you watched Attack of the clones, you saw the rings around planets are just a bunch of little rocks that might have been moon at one point that was destroyed by a meteor, so the chunks just fell into a revolutionary orbit around the planet like a record player spinning and the gravity flattened the chunks into a plane of rocks flatter to look like rings or discs with a hole in the center

Aria plz🙏🏾 don't listen to supposed "Star Wars fans" when it comes to their opinions on Star Wars. This is the same fandom that was soo toxic that it drove it's Creator, George Lucas from the Franchise bcuz they hated The Prequels that much back in the 00s. The Sequels are brilliant &as good as any other Star War. Also Solo is underappreciated as well.
@StuTheMoose Жыл бұрын
Seems I was one of he few that really enjoyed the prequels when they came out. I wouldn't say I "loved" them.. there's only so much Jar Jar any sane human can take, and some of the dialogue and acting was downright awful, but the overall story, the political themes etc were great. George got way to much hate for those movies. I'm sure you'll now consider me "toxic" though for calling the sequels absolute trash, and Solo mediocre at best. 😆 I'm just so happy we have Rogue One and Andor to make up for it. Two of the all time best bits of SW media, period.
@donpietruk1517 Жыл бұрын
@@StuTheMoose You pretty much reflect my take on the Star Wars verse. The Prequels are a good overall arc but have several weak points in them, especially the first two, although Revenge of the Sith has grown on me more over time. But yeah the sequels are just bad not only as Star Wars but even on their own terms as movies. Solo, while it has issues, wasn't as bad as many made it out to be. Andor is very good and I liked this one a lot as well.

Hello Aria. Honestly, great reactions to the entire Star Wars franchise so far, as far as I've seen 😊, even if Episode IV fell a little short here on YT. 😉 If you want to complete it, I recommend you watch all the films, including the Sequel Trilogy and Solo: A Star Wars Story, because they are all good (or better) films. Sure, it's a matter of taste whether you like it, but most who don't like the Sequels have exactly one reason - it's not the story that was 'canon' up to that point. All I can say to that is - so what? The books that existed before the Disney takeover aren't all good either. 🙄 As I said, please watch all the films and form your own opinion, because just because a story has been changed doesn't mean it's bad. It's comparable to 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit'. LotR is a masterpiece, The Hobbit is not, but they are still good films, better than 90% of the films that came out in their respective release years and you can only be disappointed if you go in expecting LotR 2.0 from the start. Except that you already had the fascination of the first trilogy and it can't happen to the same extent in the second trilogy. 🤔 And whether it's Middle Earth or Star Wars, I'm sure many would have done things differently, but none of the critics is the producer or the financier, so you can only accept that it is the way it is. 😄

Sadly, this is the only decent "sequel" although it's actually a sort of prequel. It's the best thing that Disney has done besides the Andor series. Of course, you should watch more Andor. Andor is just an excellent series. Yes, sadly Bail Organa dies on Alderaan.

She might've gave away the big reveal to herself when doing her research about the movie. Hopefully not, but it does bring up the point that people should wait on research til after watching so that their reactions to certain parts are genuine. Not saying she faked it or anything but it'll always be questionable when people admit to researching movies beforehand. At least she doesn't "predict" things to make it look like she's so adept at filmcraft when in reality they already know what happens within a movie. I can't stand reactors that do that. Nonetheless, this is maybe the best star wars film since the OT
@ariachanson01 Жыл бұрын
I understand what you're saying. It kinda ruins it if you research about the movie beforehand. But luckily I didn't really read anything about the movie only that it is set after the events of Andor. But your comment made me realize it was a huge mistake and the whole movie could've been spoiled for me😅 thanks:)

@andrews.5212 Жыл бұрын
How to describe the "sequels"? Apart from poorly written highly budget fanfictions.. Imagine a corporation (D.) buying a beloved IP (S.W.) and deciding to do a supposed "trilogy" with NO plan, NO choesive narrative, NO story and hiring two UNCHECKED directors with the freedom to do everything they want that end up SHITTING on the Original Trilogy, the Prequel Trilogy and EACHOTHERS... Also marvel humour. TOO MUCH marvel homour. Also the protagonist is THE BIGGEST MARY SUE of all time But hey shiny key in my face uuuuuhuhuhuh. BTW EP1 "The Phantom Menace" had more practical sets and miniatures and less CGI than ep7 "The Farce Awakens" and more miniatures than the ENTIRE Original Trilogy
