She's saying "imagine a world like that" because the song is about Mac Miller, who she's been in a relationship with and just a couple months after they broke up (because of his drug addiction) he passed away. She has said on twitter that this song "is about a now (and forever) unattainable relationship"

I know the OP meant this but just to clarify: she is singing(!) whistle notes. She is not just whistling into the microphone :D it's a vocal range that's called whistle notes due to them being very high and sounding close to what whistling sounds like

Those are called whistle notes. Mariah Carey is really famous for being able to perform them. Ariana has a 4 octave vocal range (which is pretty much unheard of).

It's not really unheard of, but it's very impressive. For a regular person the average range is 1-2 octaves. There are some record breaking people who have a range of 8-10 octaves, which is bonkers. 5 octaves - Mariah Carey, Prince, Whitney Houston, Axl Rose, Minnie Riperton 4 octaves - Ariana, Michael Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Beyonce 3 octaves - Aretha Franklin, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Adam Lambert, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion

The “vibrating” sound is called vibrato :) for most singers it’s a natural thing that comes out based on the pressure they are using to sing. It can be controlled too with good technique.

The other part (“imagine a world”) is called a run or riff. It’s usually a group of descending or ascending notes.

From what you’re describing, I think you’re talking about Vibrato. Vibrato occurs from the vibration of the vocal chords when there is support in the diaphragm and correct air flow through the chords. The notes she’s singing in the end is also called “whistle notes” and it’s the highest and rarest register humans can produce.

It's called vabrato. And whistle notes are what she is doing. She isn't whistling like you regularly do with your lips forming an O or something, she is doing it with her mouth open. It's hard to explain. But if you search it up it will show you a lot more. Also whistle notes are very hard, and not many people can do them
