the whole album is a "narrative" to her life/relationship - shut up ("haters") - 34+35 (the begining of the relation where is just sex and stuff like that) - motive (asking what is really his motive to be on that) - just like magic ("thanking" song saying she gets what she wants cuz she manifest it) - off the table (some sources said the song is about mac miller and tells that ariana would never love again since last year she tweeted "true love doesn't exist... have a good night..." and some hours/days after she posted "love DOES exist, maybe i was just hungry. bye". abel/the weeknd represents dalton gomez {ariana's boyfriend} saying he will wait for her even tho he will always be number two to someone she can't have anymore {mac miller}) - six thirty (the whole song says it "are u down? wassup" asking if dalton is down for a relation "when im old and stuff, will we still have crush?") - safety net (it is about ariana considering love an option and actually falling in love) -my hair (is about dalton running his hands trought her hair during sex but she also mentioned on an interview "my bofriend LOVES my natural hair and i feel like im another person when i wear it natural and curly" and in the song she says "this ain't usually me but i might let it down for ya") - nasty (not only about sex but also saying how she loves him) - west side (about the boy being a part of her life "just let me be in your life like that, be your wife like that!") - love language (about talking shit all night) - positions (this song is funny bcs at a first listen u think that the song is about sex positions BUT is about switching your positions to someone else "is all about respect and a mutual relation" ariana said for zach sang! she also said "if im in a relation, i need to make a balance in between my personal life and work" in the music video ariana represents the president and shows that she can run the USA and still have time for herself and her boy) - obvious (ariana mentions how she loves the boy and is basicly a love song overall) - pov (THE BEST on the album! talks about seeing herself from dalton's perspective and she makes a balance with thank u, next: "i'm so fucking grateful for my ex" and in pov she says "learning to be grateful for my self!") thank u if u readed all that sorry if my english is bad, im from brazil ❤
