This young lady is really developing her feel right before our eyes. In the past, she used to be very technical and clinical. Now I am noticing that her capacity to modulate between notes and add or subtract to or from her phrasing is becoming more and more distinct and regular. As Miles Davis famously said: "what you play is as important as what you don't play". This young lady understands that very very well. I like how she can aerate her play by not playing a note, before attacking more fiercely behind that silence for more effect. Beautiful!
