I'll be 60 in January and I've heard many bass guitar players and this 19yr old is the best I've watched and listened to ever!

I swear Julia could make me listen a cover of “happy birthday” on repeat for a day. What a groove.

Such fun watching and listening to this - and that happens when the player is having that much fun - it is contagious! Thoroughly enjoyed this!

Ok but like how are you not playing bass for these artists yet? MARK MY WORDS YOU WILL GET HIRED. You're amazing Julia, so so talented.

Dear Julia, today I listened again to this song, maybe 15 times or more. Now I understand even much more, that it is so much greater than everything you (also very great) played before. All your work on this piece ended in really precious (drogocenny) music. I was diving so much into any moment of this tune. I liked the most: 0:35 great syncopes. At 0:47 one extra note with the index finger at the 3rd fret makes the playing downwards so much cooler/more full - just top. At 1:17 all these extra little melodies and "mini-notes", like the last middle finger at 1:18 in this block (before going down), can't get enough of this many little extra notes. Also at 1:27 so incredible extras, and at 1:40 , and also this short spot at 1:56, just GREAT passages (?przejście?) . 2:30 dream sound and techique. Wonderful idea at 3:00-3:02, NICE! At 3:09 bending the string with the pinkie finger = creame on a cake. THANK YOU FOR THIS @juliaplaysgroove

If you’re not touring with a big name artist or working for a big studio by next year, something is really wrong with the world. Well, more so than it already is...

To me this video and this compisition marks a turning point in your KZbin career. This is way beyond a cover and raises the bar for other YT bassists (and click baissists). Larry, Jaco, Flea, Stuart, Pino, Verdine might lose a spot on my poster wall. I desperately need a Julia poster on there. Oh, and t-shirts and coffee mugs too ;-)

Krammeleniekie I feel that way about Julia’s cover of Dua’s Break My Heart. I love all of her covers but THAT one was the one that just blew me away with her talent, expertise and professionalism. (Julia’s cover of “Ain’t That Easy” although it a few years ago, is still #1 with me because of the various “stank faces,” a dozen or so subtle smiles and being totally absorbed in the rhythm).

That last chord says it all...it’s the follow through on a championship winning buzzer beater, it’s the victory lap after a PR, it’s a landing stuck on a perfect 10 routine, it’s a bow to a sold out crowd at Carnegie Hall! Strength breeds confidence; confidence breeds strength!
@lindaharrell39164 жыл бұрын
Jesse Claus Perhaps I shouldn’t comment at all on Julia’s musicianship, as I have never studied music or played an instrument. I just find it infinitely pleasing to watch as she matures in her craft from her first post of Muse Hysteria until now. Julia has also introduced me to musicians and musical genres I was unfamiliar with. I am 72 years old and have always loved music. You seem to experience her performances on a deeper level of understanding.
