I don't get why so many people hate Gaga on this song (or Gaga and Grande together). I feel like their voices create great contrast and harmonize beautifully. I love both on the track. But the Ariana solo edit sounds good as well.

Yes and the "I'd rather be dry but at least i'm Alive" in head voice is also sang by both in unison, which is the reason why it sounds auto tuned, but it is not. It's just both voices blinding so well actually lmao

AG they’re not singing the head voice together, even in the solo Gaga demo with her second verse that leaked before the album dropped, the “I’d rather be dry but at least I’m alive” was all gaga - I think the point of that chorus was for gaga to do the highs and Ariana to do the lows so there was versatility in her vocal range. Because everybody expects Ariana to do the higher notes and would assume that.

I think they just layered her vocals to make it sound more harmonized. Ariana is singing in there too, but the lower more monotone vocal is hers.
