Ok so I feel like HMT messed up her voice for a bit then in beginning of 2016 and all throughout 2016 she slayed (she always slays) like the into you clip. I think that's cuz she had been practicing her technique and resting and recovering from the HMT so I guess my theory is after DWT her voice will be tired and she will rest and then REALLY REALLY GIVE IS SOME SERIOUS VOCALS in 2018 but idk because I know nothing about vocal technique soooo

Well to my knowledge on the first leg of DWT she was actually sick with a throat hemorrhage so that's why her voice sounded very off and extremely deeper then her usual voice. Once that healed she started to sing a lot better and I also came to find out that she is finding a healthier technique for her vocals to not decline the way this video says it is. I don't believe her voice is declining at all, I believe that during her tour she was finding a new way to reach these vocals without feeling that sharp knife cut thru her throat which might have not happened when she hit those notes but only she knows that, all we know is that Ari's voice is very loud and powerful but we don't know if she forces it or if it's just how it naturally is. Remember Ariana has changed since even victorious she used to sing with her chest alot more then her head up until she met with a Vocal coach and they taught her how to sing with both (Although, I don't agree with everything they taught her because her voice was so much more powerful, clear and deeper then it is now but only she will find out that she needs someone better) so she got vocally WAY BETTER but you are right when you say in the HMT she added unnecessary notes that sound like they hurt a lot lol but I don't believe at all that her vocals are declining unless if she is smoking cigarettes with mac that is what could definitely cause it but she can't lose her voice in that short period of time unless if the vocals she was hitting since she started singing had finally caught up to her and is now fucking her voice up which I doubt that because if you continue to sing the way she does since a child your muscles get stronger and can handle the notes she hits and has been told by her doctor that her vocal cords are very healthy. One thing that was also mentioned about a month ago is that Ariana is in the search of finding her voice and singing more serious music rather then these poppy songs she sings now she is looking to sing songs that reveal her smoother vocals. Honestly, I think she is looking for music that is similar to the Legends she listened to growing up where it goes to a smoother vocal and eventually rise up to the high notes that we ALL know Ari can hit. We shouldn't doubt her we should just support her and patiently wait because I know this woman's vocals and notes ain't going NOWHERE!

u know i'm an arianator since 2013 now and, i can hit G5s """"easily""". this summer i started smoking, (i stopped now), and in 2 months my voice declined, it was so difficult for me to hit G5s and sometimes i just couldn't, my voice was over. soooo mac smokes, maybe the smoke that ariana breathes damaged her voice idk. i'm afraid that ariana start smoking for her voice. i'm sorry for my english i'm french

the biggest myth about her vocals is her consistent support , her consistent support is G#3/A3-B4 and some peoble say F#3-C5

She doesnt support her belts and have the same resonance as she used to. She gets nasal sometimes and her throatiness is getting worse. She's had a problem with making her larynx neutral for a while, and she's had jaw and tongue tension for a while, the bad technique is definitely showing more and more. Whether she decided to have a chestier mix or it's because she has to, she's still declining.

Actually she is declining, just VERY VERY slowly since 2012 when her technique was at her best and she already could support up to E5. Now it's only a C5 at best. I really hope that everything you said is true and Ariana is working on her technique and not just mess up with her voice and don't care about it at all. Her falsetto is really a problem, falsetto actually is a very fragile register and it's very sensitive to our voice condition in general, so if our voice is completely ok - than falsetto also will be ok, but if not - so, falsetto also tend to disappear/weaken which we can see in Ariana's example. She should really take a good rest after tour and don't run into studio and recording a new album, she should rather learn a good technique again.

Yes her voice is slowly declining thats why I said that more serious issues will appear in some years. Her falsetto rn is really weak and its a shame because her falsetto is her best register and she can do crazy stuff with it. Ive noticed that she is working on her technique as she enunciates better and is now preserving her voice more. Also her belts sound more open now especially C5 in Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Also the Eb5 in Thinking Bout You sounds relaxed. Still we'll have to wait and see. Thanks for watching ❤

Lol, the shade is real) But couldn't agree more, Eric Vetro is kinda...bad vocal coach at his best. Ariana really needs to clear things up and understand that she doesn't use support, nor resonance at singing high notes which cuts her potential horribly. And only fresh advice from really good vocal coach can help Ariana to understand it. And not just "hide strain with light mix, omg"

Where do you pull that "5 years" thing from? A decline is a decline, you can't just randomly project a time. Just because she can still hit a G#5 doesn't mean she's not declining. Her voice is more throaty than ever, her larynx issue is still the same, and her jaw tension is the worst it's been. Singing the wrong way for any extended period of time is going to slowly deteriorate the voice. It's literally happening right now. Her voice "maturing" and "darkening" like everyone says isn't just for stylistic purposes. The voice naturally lowers and darkens when it's been overused and worn out. If this declination was nature her lows would've improved along with her voice but that is not the case at all, her lows have gotten worse if anything. She used to be moderately decent with the F#3s from Into You but her larynx is shoved to the bottom of her throat every time now. Also, the lack of falsetto is a major sign of the voice not being in proper shape. The upper and lower registers take a major hit when the voice is being used improperly and is tired. That E6 clip you used was awhile ago, but not too long ago, her voice is already suffering and her already weakish falsetto is diminishing and becoming more airy and less and less connected. The same thing happened with Demi. She destroyed her voice and completely shattered any hope of having a decent headvoice that she kind of had a chance at having.

Look she hsas been slowly declining since 2012. I said 5 years, but after i put some thought to it I'd say it will take like some more years to completely destroy her voice. Even Mariah who had perfect technique has declined a lot, she has been singing for 25 years tho. Ariana has mediocre technique and she only sings outside her supported range. It's not declining it's her voice. As she is getting older she can't hit those high notes as well.
