2009: definitely her natural voice, there’s a fair amount of vocal fry, she has a slightly nasal affect to her voice 2010: the only change I really hear is her pitch but I think that can be explained since she has to talk over the noise of the other people 2011: sounds a bit like Paris Hilton there is a bit more rasp and air that can be heard 2012: more depth no longer a nasal quality to her voice 2013: same as 2012 but warmer sounding 2014: sounds a bit tired 2015: sounds like she has a cold and sounds a bit whispery/airy 2017: sounds lower 2018: sounds higher and a different accent 2019: sounds like a mix of all the previous years 2020: sounds headier and higher placed with a bit of nasality not as much vocal fry 2021: raspy and sounds more “acty” like she’s speaking how she’d act onstage 2022: sounds girlier and higher 2024: a mix of maturity and higher placement

I feel 2023-2024 has reasons such as recording songs for eternal sunshine, I think she mentioned that she says stuff in higher pitches to preserve her voice especially when it comes to singing live and recording (not mentioned in this video)

Yeah I definitely think when she was speaking lower from 2013-2019 she had some vocal fry and fatigue in her voice. Her voice sounds healthier when she speaks a bit higher and it helps to reach higher notes when your voice isn’t strained

Her voice now is way higher than normal, she’s been speaking in a higher voice for a while now to preserve her vocal chords and allow herself to hit higher notes but in the more recent few years she’s been taking vocal lessons to sound way higher and more whiny to fit her character Glinda which you can TOTALLY hear in her newer interviews, Her voice now is a product of intentional choices her natural voice was the deeper one which is why you never hear that high pitched voice before she became cat
