CLASSY AF 🤩 Yes this is fabulous to see how you sew an actual design that you actually wear. Love seeing something unconventional yet still achievable. And thanks for sharing how you changed your mind about the zigzag stitch - so reassuring and interesting!

It's my pleasure to share! Making these videos is a way to create for myself... because I am the kind of designer that designs for others and rarely makes things for myself. I really hope you make this t-shirt - and keep me posted on how it goes. As always thank you for the support here.... I always love hearing from you.

I do like the evolved flat felled and French seams. But as personal preference, I do not like the zig zag stitch showing around the hem. Good job! I appreciate you for all the info you share free.

It definitely is a personal preference... actually I like the look of the raw hem edge on the linen, but considering I was making a t-shirt from start to finish I wanted to give you a different perspective on how to hem (doesn't always need to be stitched with a twin needle or a cover-stitch machine). As always thank you for being here and sharing - it's nice to get to know you.

You and your sewing are awesome! (Or is that is?. 🤔) I love that you give only the necessary details! You’re t-shirt is beautiful!I You’re right, we always strive for perfection, but we realize adaptability increases the learning. I just found you, and I’m pretty late to the party, but feel like it’s important to tell you that I really appreciate all your effort! I’ll keep liking and watching! Thank you!

Also ironing a pressing line over an acrylic ruler to make sure the line is straight = brilliant 💯 any tips for making sure I don't damage my quilting rulers?

Use a lower heat than normal. I was pressing really lightly. But I always suggest doing a test before you damage anything.

Her hair isn’t for you. You need to learn to accept people for who they are. She likes her hair and that’s all that matters.

is there a difference from the ball point vs. a stretch sewing needle for the t shirt streach fabric??
@LTRLtrend
@LTRLtrend 2 жыл бұрын
The answer is yes, but I tend to use them interchangeably, but the stretch needles do have some benefits for the extra stretchy fabrics like lycra/spandex. Both types have a rounded end compared to a universal needle, which prevents snags or runs in the knit fabric. Check out my video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIXWnGuurrGUesk explaining some of the stretch stitches you can use and the needle/gauge you should be using. Note: the stretch needle also allows for a longer thread loop, which is supposed to prevent skipping stitches --> but in the video I just shared above I also show a hack on how to prevent skipped stitches. So if you’re using lycra/spandex, I would go with the stretch needle (make sure you gauge also is complimentary to your fabric thickness). And when in doubt, take a scrap of the fabric you’ll be using for a project and test out the stitches with various needles to see what gets the best result. Hope that helps! Much love to you and thank you for your valuable comment...
