Tried it myself and love the results! I’d say personally to go a few inches longer than the chin so you can still tuck behind ears/keep it in a ponytail if you want and to give yourself room for any mistakes with the feathering, but overall this was surprisingly easy to follow!

I did it guys!!!!! It looks so good I love it. Make sure you take your time and use good scissors. When I did the first straight cut I cut my hair a bit lower than my chin bc it’ll give you room for mistake so it’s not too short. The most important part for me was blending it at the end with the longer sections of my hair it makes such a big difference. Also my hair was somewhat styled (smooth blow out hairstyle) before I started which really helped me see what it would actually look like. Just trust the process lol I was stressed until the very end and sleeked my hair into a pony tail bc I didn’t think it looked that good and then after a while I took it out and fixed my parting and it looked so much better once all my hair was blended all together (if that makes any sense?)

I’ve been cutting my husbands hair since the beginning of quarantine. 2.5 years later, I still cut his hair, my dads and my 2 year old sons hair…. Quite well I might add. I never learned how to do my own. This video is fool proof. My hair looks incredible! Happy mama! ❤

This was a super easy tutorial to follow. I have never cut my hair before and still was able to do this easily. I actually cut mine a bit shorter since my hair is quite a bit shorter than hers, it’s a little past my shoulders, so I cut my hair level with my top lip. The tutorial still worked the same and looks great! Really happy I didn’t have to go out and spend money to get my bangs cut and now I can trim them at home!

Don’t want to judge anybody, but so many hairdressers don’t know how to cut this kind of bangs. I went to a hairdresser with a strong idea of what I want and around ten photo references. I paid 35£ and She made me an awful bangs. I haven’t noticed anything at first because she curled it to the sides, but when I came home and washed my hair in the evening - I saw the disaster. I’ve had to take the scissors and make it look more decent and even I with no experience did it better. I’ve been upset for a whole week and then I decided to follow your instructions- and now I have beautiful curtain bangs that I love!! And they’re so easy to style!!! So thank you for this!!

@Reeann Barnes I do this on my clients all the time. It’s literally just a long soft face framing bang that falls below your cheekbones. Make sure you tell her to disconnect it from your front angle, so it is more of a bang. I do currently have curtain bangs on myself and they are a way shorter style.

Draw your eyebrows and see where the arch is, just draw your brows as natural as possible while having an arch, not a huge arch but enough to see it and then when you’re done just take off the brow pen stuff (I forgot what it was called😅)
