Naw there's nothing like this specifically. It's like New Order, Ween, and King Crimson had a deformed baby or something. Fucking love it.

Maybe he makes a great producer, but not a stellar frontman? Some people just could care less about being a leader of a band or performing live but still write amazing music. There's an almost sort of nervous energy going on here. But also some days maybe better than others, and in that sense he's no different than anyone else, some good days some bad.

He's making music for himself. He isn't doing it for you, so get over it. If you don't like music that is different, you shouldn't listen to Ariel Pink.

Ariel's mic is extremely _hot_ here. (or the band needs to be louder to come up to his volume level...) I'm sure they did one or the other, right.. To bad this volume issue just happened to be on _this_ song. Oh, well... At least it was clear.
@diegom60859 жыл бұрын
+shucksful I honestly think this performance was awesome. I still like this version better than the recording. The recording was just too clean.
@HottestFrogLegs8 жыл бұрын
+shucksful OMG if I had a dollar for every "too clean" BS... I could buy you a recording studio and then you'd learn better. :P
@diegom60858 жыл бұрын
But for real though, there is a difference between the versions, and I just happen to like this one better. No BS.

I don't know why I received so many down votes. The reason why I am turned off by any live performance by him, is because both times I saw him live, he had some ridiculous meltdown on stage. Sitting down and singing with his back to the crowd. Chain smoking instead of singing. Screaming at the audience. Storming off the stage. It was not a great experience at all. I don't hate his music, though.
