Mine arrived about a week ago and i love it! It likes to go 17 while on medium assist, you can push that up to around 24 with hard peddling and maxing the assist. But the throttle is 'on demand' and gives you instant full power regardless of the setting. Great feature! I added a GPS and this bike hits 30MPH with throttle only. It is very stable at that speed. After 30 miles of lots of assist and throttle, the upgraded battery still had 39% charge.. I'm willing to bet that the battery is tenacious in the bottom 1/3 of discharge--time will tell. It arrived in perfect shape--the quality is outstanding! Definitely worth the wait.
@Pranawood4 жыл бұрын
Hey loveofsea--I just received mine and I'm having issues with the battery easily coming dislodged. In fact, I can simply push it off of the contacts and cause a total shutdown. This seems like a serious manufacturing flaw. I would love to know your experience, thanks!

Exactly.. I wasn't around in the 70s,not until the early/mid 80s but I still fondly remember as a kid lusting over the kids down the street that had mini bikes they rode in the park, I was so jealous. I never did get one, I chose a Go Kart instead when my dad gave me a choice of one or the other. Still may scratch that itch for a mini bike now that I'm in my mid 30's 😆🤣😂
@ForbinColossus5 жыл бұрын
@@jordanjohnson7264 I wanted a go cart more than anything. Sears store near where I lived had them on the floor! But the mini bike dominated for the few that had 'em. Cops in my town would just take it from the 'delinquent kid' if he was a repeat offender and have the parents call to get it back. Funny enough both kids I knew dropped out of high school. One now owns a gas station.

@@jordanjohnson7264I was born in the late 80s to young parents so I saw my dad's friends buy, build, and ride these bikes. I chose a two seater 6.5hp go cart over the mini bike when I got the choice also. I bought a tiny electric scooter fit 300 bux recently to scratch that itch. It's only 250 watt but still gets my skinny ass to just over 15mph. It's great because the cops can't bug me and neighbors can't complain about the noise. Decided I needed more power so I bought a schwinn ghost muscle bike with a nana l banana seat and put a 52v 1500 watt motor in the rear tire. It zips around at 25-35 mph which is way more than enough. I wish I had a local community or people interested enough in going to ride these. Make a little ebike gang lol. I find this bike to be very interesting and would definitely consider it for serious off roading. I will say however that I have to agree that the throttle needs to work independently from peddle assist. Almost always when I am riding a bumpy trail I find that peddle assist is to imprecise and, at least on the two bikes I now have, the manufacturers set the lowest peddle assist speed at about 10MPH. This is too fast for me on most trails and winds up giving you a good beating. The company rep did not seem to think this is a big deal, but in my experience it is. I want to be able to use the precision of the throttle when navigating trails with the peddle assist set to 0.

The concept is great, and that's why I bought one after seeing it on this video. However, quality assurance is less than stellar, I still have problems with my bike. And if you write a review on the Ariel website, it has to be "approved" by them. Suffice it to say my 3 star review was not approved. In summary, if you don't get a lemon, it's a great bike. But you're rolling the dice... Also, question mark how many less than 5 star reviews they haven't approved on their website. UPDATE: This bike is garbage. I'll keep this short but if you're considering buying this bike, please save your money. After a few months and just under 100 miles on the bike, here are the issues; 1. Mysterious clunking noise when the rear break is depressed. 2 different mechanics can't figure it out; and Ariel's "customer service" advised me to adjust the rear derailleur. Well that's been done twice and has made zero difference. 2. In addition to #1, squeaking has begun when depressing the rear break. 3. Rear tire magically deflated... brought it into the shop, and they replaced the inner tube with a proper Michelin one. Mechanic was shocked at the cheap version they used. TIP: if you buy this bike; replace the garbage tube they decided to put in before you get stuck. 4. Front brake has now started a buzzing sound when depressed. 5. Here is a PRO: people love the look... and I do too; but in all honesty, I wish I never stumbled across this video and never bought this bike. Sad that this channel traffics in subpar products to review. Won't make this mistake twice.

Range? Speed??

I can tell about my limited edition. Range depends on PAS level and how many motors you operate. When I go with full power mode I can make 30 miles easily. Speed I can reach 28 mph easily on throttle. I heard speed limit can be bypassed but I haven't tried it yet.
