Congrats on your new Grizzly and thanks for the kind words!! After the first 3 rides (regardless of how long they are), charge your batteries for 12 hours straight. This will condition all of the cells, the BMS will prevent overcharging full cells Then do this about once a month for happy batteries Ride safe !!

They have with the new bafang motors. Due to Matsui /Hengtai being negligent on their end of warranty claims I believe was the reason for the switch. In other words it was a drawn out process to get replacement motors, claims started etc. Whereas the turn around time with bafang is fantastic. 🐾⚡

do you recommend putting tire liners in or using a tire sealant?
@RustyRoads2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wendy. I recommend liners, and carrying a patch kit, pump, tools and extra tube. Sealant can get messy but when it works it is clutch because it works quickly. If you look in the background during the unboxing you'll see I have some Tannus liners on deck 😎 Thanks for watching!

Three questions for ya. 1. Do and how do you carry your bike up and down the steps, to go riding? 2. is it dangerous or bad to have the bike on the charger longer than the need time? 3. what is the size of the box? reason asking these questions is i will be buying one soon. I am going to have to carry the bike up and down stairs to my apartment. I hope like anything else these days, that the battery and charger know when to shut off the power to charging when the batteries are full. and i hope my friends mid sized car can transport my bike to me when it arrives
@RustyRoads2 жыл бұрын
Hey Daniel, thanks for watching. 1. Thankfully my building has another entrance on the other side that requires no stairs. Delivery drivers always go to the other wide though. It's much easier to carry after you remove the batteries btw! 2. The BMS (battery management system) does prevent overcharging, however keeping it plugged in for extended periods should be avoided unless conditioning the battery(s) 3. I'd estimate the box is 3.5 by 5 feet. I don't think it will fit in most cars Congrats on your new bike!!

So just need to confirm steel geared motors? Or nylon gear.....someone else said bafang made nylon geared. Is there any information to confirm.....
@RustyRoads2 жыл бұрын
They are Bafang now, and have nylon planetary gears. Custom made for AR controllers for higher torque output. The previous motor supplier; Matsui dropped the ball in regards to honoring valid warranties when their motors failed. Essentially ghosted AR 🤦🏽♂️ Additionally the Bafang motors have a better track record, although IMO the previous motors were a tiny bit more punchy. I like this trade off but both would be best!!

I got my Grizz V2 on 4/13, now I wish I saw this video before my installs. The BEST un boxing to date for this Bike. I know the time-line did not pan out. Shreddie got the credit. So 450 miles and my Grizz rear motor has zero power and pedal Assist is non-functioning. Display has thrown the Code error 08H. I have the proper form with not so Zen Zendesk. 9/22 at 12:33 pm. I am only awaiting procedures because I do not want to void the warranty. So far I only hear crickets as I am desperately seeking HELP! I apologize, but I notice the squeak did not work the first time around ( damaged battery from shipping)AR Zendesk took two weeks to finally get a call from AR Tech dept. Steven Stuart. And a month call it mid May to go back and forth e mail pictures etc. AR has an excellent bike, we have 6 others that are ok but I am addicted and ruined by this GRIZZLY V2.. Was going to purchase the SEA beez (yellow) V3 but the brakes are on literally. Leaning big towards Sur Ron, pick up in Irvine or or Luna direct. I know you may bump into an official or two from AR. I need procedure and protocol, to not Void the warranty and Tech help. Not the Gerald J past and cut letter "Can we have your battery serial number?" See how this can get a customer who is anxious, nervous and just wants to ride with my KoKo a bit bitter. I am addicted to riding the Grizz. Anyway in closing any help. a nudge. a push in the direction of Tecjh., The front line support staff are professional Apologizers. Now I say sorry, hope I can make it up to you with a low-tide ride on the Ventura, CA sands and then go Venturakiteboarding.com Invite a friend as well.
