Sorry about the voice recording, I got better in later videos, but it took a few attempts. I hadn't really planned on being heard so I wasn't paying enough attention to it.

My father in law has been gone for 25 years now. I opened your bike video as I am considering buying a bike like the model you ride. I started the video and heard my father in law’s voice, I mean you have his tone and large vocabulary. I am 74 years old and nearly as old as he was when he passed but it was shocking. I did very much enjoyed your video and I learned so much from it so thank you for it

Yep, I'm sold. Getting the Kepler for college/work commute.

It would be great for that, I still like it after 1000 miles, except for the non-adjustable PAS levels, but I've been working around that. I'm nearly done with a 1000 mile review video that should be up soon.

If I turn off the sound I can swear it's video on a motorcycle 😁👏👏

I was considering a TW200 or a Honda Trail for the longer range, but I wouldn't like the noise, and the second battery has let me go further out, so I'm happy for now.

Thanks for your vids, appreciate it. What's your weight? 31 miles is the realistic max then rather than their wildly exaggerated 75 mile claim, huh... Your suggested PAS setting would be ideal, I agree. Are you glad you bought it?

I'm about 180. Battery use depends on terrain and speed. Mostly I get 2 mpAh, or 30ish miles with a 25% reserve. When I road with a friend who was riding my old class 2 bike, I went slower and used much less battery. In flat terrain at lower speeds it would certainly be much higher than I'm getting.

Ron... Did you receive your Kepler recently? I ordered mine and it was supposed to come late august. But, I received an email on the last day of august telling me my bike is stuck at a port waiting to be unloaded since 23 Aug.... How long did it take you to get yours once you got the delay email? Or, did you even get the email? Haven't heard a word since. I feel they should keep their customers informed weekly on the outcome. They admit there are others before my date that needs to be delivered first. That should give them an advance notice on my delivery date... Or so you would think.

I ordered mine July 10 got it Aug 10, but I was right at the end of the orders for that batch; two days later it would have been much longer. I checked their delivery date page to make myself feel better... :-)

Were you using pa?
@RonNehrig2 жыл бұрын
I always pedal (firmly but not hard) and always use the PA that is appropriate for the speed I want to go.
@JethroXP2 жыл бұрын
Do you pedal or is this throttle only? 31 miles with 29% battery remaining is impressive for throttle only, but feels a bit short if you are actively pedaling.
@RonNehrig2 жыл бұрын
I always keep a firm pressure on the pedals, a bit more up hills, except above 28 I have to start working to keep up the revolutions.

i was wondering how you got 31 miles with those hills. i only get 25miles per charge. i ride on pas 5 unless not on road. alot of stop and go, mostly gears 4-7. i can never shift quick enough unless i get more than 500 feet without a light. im getting another battery. good jod again. thx
@RonNehrig2 жыл бұрын
I pedal nearly all the time, less over 28. I use the PAS settings like an electric transmission though, starting in 1 and clicking it up as I need more speed or power up a hill. I have to limit my speed to my often bumpy road conditions so use lower PAS settings a lot with the Speed limiter set to 50 (the Bikewise limit) or 58, and, of course, I turn down the speed limiter a lot for rough roads to lower my PAS 1 setting, which probably helps. Those higher speeds really seem to eat the battery, at the end of a ride I often get a little zoomy and it seems to go down fast..

Man, I have a hard time even imagining 30+ mph on a bike...lol. Scary about the potholes....
@RonNehrig2 жыл бұрын
32 isn't bad on a smooth road, better when I'm not pedaling and disturbing the bike, and at higher speeds I'm coasting, but it doesn't take much of a road surprise to get creepy. I spend a lot of time in the mid 20's where I have a better chance of avoiding bumps and holes and surviving the ones I hit.

Thank you for sharing your experience. That is a beautiful place. Also, my GOD, that is a loud bike. I was thinking of getting one because of the power, range, and robust rear rack. But, I don't want that much roar. Bleah.
@RonNehrig2 жыл бұрын
I think my camera microphones made it seem louder than it is, though it is louder than my old bike with a smaller motor, and the knobby tires added a lot of noise (I've replaced them). I've changed the microphone setup since this one.
