Nice setup Ron! I did a dual battery too! Your idea to run the controller and stock battery cables behind the controller bracket? Slick!!

Glad you got it together! That second battery was a big help for me. Thanks for the comment!

Ron, Thanks for the video and all those calculations. I have been considering this bike but feel as you do, that the speeds at PAS 1 are much too fast. Have you actually written to Ariel Rider directly? I would love to hear their explanation for this oversight. This problem is causing me to seriously consider other bikes, even though the Kepler would be otherwise perfect for me. Keep up the good work! Allen

I wrote to Ariel Rider before I received it, after seeing BigTeedo struggling with it, they did not have an explanation until the fourth reply, when they said "they build fast bikes", a silly thing to say from someone who has probably never ridden it on anything other than smooth pavement. In the meantime, the Bikewise Pro app is saving the day and I'm getting better and faster at using it, but still consider it a silly thing to do and hope they give us a firmware update. I still like it despite that obvious problem.

@@RonNehrig Ron, thanks for your reply. Ariel Rider had no reasonable explanation and just came off sounding stupid. Come on, in the real world even fast bikes need to go slow sometimes... I will check out Bikewise Pro and see if it is a reasonable substitute for having complete control of the bike.

@@allenwhitehead7246 I'll just add another odd thing. I'm using an old iphone 5s right now for Bikewise; it isn't on cell service. It uses a different version of Bikewise from the newer IOS phones; the buttons are larger and if I hold them down they repeat, while on the new phone they are smaller and don't repeat. This is IOS 12 something, the latest the 5s or 6/6 plus (not the 6s that is a newer phone) will use, so Bikewise installed the one that would work. Just FYI.

Hey Ron I have stromer st1 yes it does cost a lot more but I ride this bike all year in the snow the rain. I have had no problem with it this bike I'm not getting paid to say this. It has a with a direct drive motor less parts to go bad I did my research I found that direct drive motors last longer technology the founder of grand technology loves direct drive because they last so long now stroma the bike that I ride that's what they use a long time bike that cost me a lot of money but every direct drive motor can last about 15 years with almost no problems a really good direct drive motor even ones that are not that good can last a really long time I'm not telling you what to do but it might be something you might want to look into cuz I can on my stomer turn down the power on my motor in the snow and I love that and the hub motor gives it weight and it was so awesome to ride it in the snow anyway I wish you luck like your video gave you a thumbs up

Hi Ron, great video! Question, how did you disable the password on the Kepler? For easier adjusting top speeds, etc. thank you

In the setup menu choose password, and choose "off". You might have to hold down the menu key to get out of there (a short press will toggle it back on).

Ron my battery % is stuck on 100 any thoughts how to fix

I've never heard of that. Have you tried removing the battery from the bike and letting it sit for 10 minutes or so (to let any power charge dissipate in the electronics). You might even push the bike power button for the same reason. And hook the charger to the battery while it's out of the bike (if only for a few minutes) to see if it resets. If you have Bikewise installed on a mobile device it has a power meter in there also; might be interesting to see if that says the same thing.
