I own this bike, it does not get 40 miles per charge and it certainly doesn’t get 70. If you ride the throttle and weigh about 180 lbs or so like I do and ride slightly uphill then down hill every day you get about 25-30 to a charge. It’s basically built to ride the throttle, unless you’re really short it hurts your knees to pedal and it doesn’t really do anything unless you’re in speed 1 or 2. You could possibly get 40 if you did pedal assist and kept it under 20 mph, 70 maybe if you’re small and keep it under 10. This thing cruises in the thirties though quite easily. I’m not complaining about it by any means, I know ppl who own the Super 73 and it is the same on range and costs way more, this is a comparable bike for a way lower price. The rear shock on the Ariel Rider kind of sucks but I’ve heard it can be upgraded for under $100. It’s a solid buy, I have 1200 miles on mine and so far haven’t had to do anything but new brake pads, will need a new rear tire soon.

You are right, I weight 155 plus the gear I am puting probably 165 pounds total. I got 40 miles range with a few hills in between. Mostly pedaling with a little help with the throttle for the up hills. I would say average speed was 20mph. I am pretty sure if I remove the hills from the ecuation I would get probably 50 mile range. I really like the bike but I think I am going to add a 2nd battery soon.

The thing about these ebikes is that it costs $200-$300 to deliver these ebikes. So the kepler at $1799 is actually $1599 or $1499. Not bad at all

I ordered the X Class 52V back in December should receive it at the end of the month (June). I have a modified RAD Rover 5 AWD(have put over 2,500 miles on it ) since I modified it. 750W Bafang motor rear , 1000W front (some Chinese brand ) its a tank . I'm Great for riding up and down the hills and trails (high torque 140nm) gets up to 30 mph top speed but the range sucks , only getting 32 miles with pedal assist 1. If I lived in a flat area I'm thinking I would get double that on 2x 20ah batteries, mind you, I live in a very hilly area , and not so nimble. Don't get me wrong it's a blast to ride with the modifications but very heavy (92 pounds) with 2 x dual batteries. Can't wait to get the very nimble 52V X-class. The metal gears and 52V battery are a plus . Already thinking about adding a second battery to get more range so I can ride into town and to the beach . Will be a very different experience and give me a second toy to play with.

I love it!! I’m also 5’11” and I’ve been debating between this one and the D class that has the more upright position and cushy saddle, but I love the color and full suspension on this one. Any thoughts?
@johnwilson78093 жыл бұрын
I have the 48V X-class and love it. I'm 5"10" and really like the riding position. I did pull the handle bars all the way back. It gives me a slight bent forward riding position, but I occasionally just stretch my arms out a bit to sit straight up. My 48V will top out at around 32 to 33MPH on a flat surface with no wind. I just changed tires (rear tire has wear after 2000 miles) to the Vee road tires. MUCH quieter ride.
@seleneperez73223 жыл бұрын
@@johnwilson7809 Thanks for getting back with me John! The riding position was the only thing holding me back from buying the xclass! But after reading your reply I’m feeling pretty confident about buying! Now I’m torn between the 48v and the 52v! I don’t need anymore speed than what you get on the 48v, but the better suspension, tires and longer battery are very tempting on the 52v! It’s just a big price difference the $500! Thoughts? What kind of riding do you do?
@JmieYoutube3 жыл бұрын
If you want a more upright riding position get a higher rise handlebar and ditch the adjust stem, easiest thing you can do to change the ride feel
@johnwilson78093 жыл бұрын
@@seleneperez7322 I do all street or paved trail riding. With mild pedaling, the 48V system goes 30 miles with 2 or 3 bars remaining (so 40% to 60% left if each bar is 20%). I'm not sure I can ride any further, LOL.
@jkon1562 жыл бұрын
For larger people, use this metric. I am 6ft 2 and 250ish lbs. I average about 25-30 miles a charge, with a small amount of on road use, assist level 1 at 17mph on the paved trail most of the time. the range is a little over estimated for people my size but I'm still alright with it, gives me about 2 hours of riding after work. I will be going dual battery at some point in the future as I can't keep up distance wise with people either lighter than me, or with higher capacity. I drain batteries pretty quick.
